Tomahawk (10) - Power Move EP - 27-Apr-08 01:22 PM
If you ever find this record you got not to sleep on this one if youre into the more modern and classy electro influenced minimal techno. Check out the track "Forever Free" and you wont be disappointed at all. Not only you get a contemporary sounding gem, but also a wonderfully sounding one since it has been mastered at the legendary NSC in Detroit by Ron Murphy (RIP!). Really a few tracks has those good sounding 808s and 303s!

Mr. Michael - Reach For My Love - 27-Apr-08 01:15 PM
Despite being old, this record has got outstanding quality production on the A side. This track is an early minimal pounder with a bassdrum which will crack any dancefloor, guaranteed! The fact the A side runs just for 505 on 45 RPM, and a great master provide bass testing in style. You can notice this is one of a few vinyls which has got deep and large grooves. B1 and B2 begin to sound "old" in 2008, but nonetheless this is one of those records you want to find on a bargain and then feel really happy about it.

Various - Cecchetto Compilation - 21-Jan-08 01:23 AM
This is a _must have_ for every late italo disco or better, for those which can not live without some serious italian so-called "trash"! Alongside with more popular names such as "883", you will find other acts produced by Claudio Cecchetto in those years and spot his son on the cover ;) Beside of that, be warned about the artistic/musical value of the CD, since those tracks were meant to be "tormentoni", italian word for radiophonic seasonal anthems.

MD X-Spress* - All Aboard Da Phunk - 21-Jul-07 05:44 PM
If you can find somewhere this vinyl get it! Why? The track "Tha Muziks Is Gettin Stronger" is one rare gem of an house track, one of these track you love and dance to even if you are not into this style. The track is built around a phat funk cut, which is somehow strangely filtered and then another loop is added in for aggravated grooving. What a great piece of wax! This is one of these track you feel you must play from the beginning to the end because the intro does not sound absolutely boring so. You could mistake the bassdrum of the loop for the main one, infact is not so and after a 909 roll in, the bassdrum comes in along with a voice which make you feel you can not really stop. Highly reccomended!!!

Chab - Dub, Edits And Whisky-Coke - 01-Mar-07 01:58 PM
This work is a definition of contemporary music: it can easily throw the usual genre definition out of the proverbial window. Anyone researching what new directions in music are should get this album, because you can have a great listening to experience even if its really danceable and club oriented none the less.
