Headhunter (9) - Physics Impulse - 21-Nov-08 03:18 AM
Superb record.
Absolutely loving Headhunters production right now.
The title track is simply brilliant. Builds nicely with a jagged, razor sharp beat, then a great little vocal drops and the bassline starts. What a tune. Really one of those take your breath away moments.
The other highlight is Axis which is techno-sounding dubstep plodder with a great bass throb.
This guy is one of the most consistently interesting and original producers in Dubstep. I hope he can keep his releases at such a high quality because this record is top notch.

Manasyt / Sync 24 - The Subsiding EP - 23-Apr-08 06:34 AM
This is a top record, one of the best on Touchin Bass.
The MANASYt side just shades it for me with Clandestine being the highlight of the E.P
Great tune with a rasping, deep bassline that really grabs the attention. Like the other guy said, a lot of interesting and unusual sounds in attendance in the MANASYts tunes. He has a sound like no-one else and its usually well worth checking.
The Sync 24 side is damn good too. The Warg is the better of the two and is a pretty intense affair that drops a titanic bass throb about half way in that really lifts the track to a new level. This tune is a full on, heavy as hell, electro nightmare.
Well worth getting a hold of this record if you like dark electro.

AFX* - Analord 06 - 16-Aug-07 10:48 PM
Im Self Employed is brilliant tune. This actually isnt one of my favourite Analords (3, 5 and 10) but the aforementioned tune is one of the highlights of the series. Its just so damn catchy and it has that perfect, lazy beat.
Aphex at his best.

Ol' Dirty Bastard - Return To The 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version - 15-Jul-07 08:04 AM
This is my favourite of all the Wu solo releases. RZAs beats are immense. His production lends a gritty, raw feeling to the record that gets better with repeated listening. Dirtys vocal delivery is also incredibly creative not to mention unique. His sing-rap style and bizarre lyrical content are so original and catchy its hard not to love this record. Rawhide, Shimmy Shimmy Ya and Brooklyn Zoo are highlights but the standout tack is Snakes. Dirty has a short verse at the end of the track but it is absolutely superb.
This is an awesome record all round and for anyone curious about the Wu solo releases or any fan of hiphop, is an essential purchase.
The best release from a lost talent.

Wee DJs, The - 25-Aug-06 12:24 AM
Awesome producer of dark and intelligent electro. This guy makes some of the best tunes about. He has a distinct sound that always seems to stay fresh and dynamic. The 1st four gassoline, the two SCSI, the I-O and his LP on Touchin Bass are all must have records.
