Well - Derek Bailey freely admits that this record would have been A LOT better if he'd been able to release an album of improvisations with the folks on his local (Hackney) jungalist pirate stations.
Instead John Zorn roped in brummie d'n'b producer DJ Ninj to string together some ineffectual coffee table drum n bass riddims to appeal to the NY Hipster Laswelloid set -- which is why this record was SUCH a sorely missed opportunity.
To think what a soaring monster this record could've been...
