Tony Cha Cha
vs.
Dennis Christopher - Slut! - 11-Jun-08 11:38 AM
A great electro/tech-house release by tony cha cha and dennis christopher. A pounding dancefloor filler! The naughty lyrics (my daisy dukes they fit just right, and squeeze my couchy really tight) are stolen from the superb electroclash song 'Do i look like a slut' by Avenue D (produced by electroclash king Larry Tee) which was released in 2004 on electric blue. This release pushes the song to a higher level by adding that í want to dance' feel to it. The electro remix on this release is a bit cornish though.
Soft Cell - Monoculture - 16-May-08 07:37 AM
A solid remix of the monoculture track by soft cell, which appears on their cruelty without beauty album released in 2002. It transforms this song into an instant dancefloor filler while it still keeps the nasty feel of the original track, mainly due to the super gay vocals by Marc Almond. Both sides are the same except A has vocals, and because of reasons described above is much better in my opinion. This is one of my favorite tracks and i play it very often, people always dance like crazy on this one.
Toktok vs Soffy O* - Missy Queen's Gonna Die - 16-May-08 07:27 AM
A classic tune from 2002! Great synths and very catchy female vocals. If you like electroclash this is a must have. A nice beat and a loud snare, great synths and very catchy female vocals. It's all you desire from an electroclash release. The only downside of this record in my opinion are the remixes by felix the housecat and the martini bros. The original kicks their butts over and over again. Go and buy this record.
Twinnie - Absolution - 16-May-08 03:06 AM
If you like electo breaks this might be a record for you. It has great beats and female vocals by a former punkband singer. It's not one of my favorite releases though due to bad mastering. The kicks sound a bit crappy, this makes it less fun to mix it with other records. Don't expect pounding beats, it's more a relaxed ambient kind of electro. I use the second track as an opening track sometimes cause it sets a nice vibe.
New Order - Blue Monday - 16-May-08 02:57 AM
The most famous release by New Order. It was recently used in a coca cola commercial, and featured in the movie 24 hour party people. It's one of the best selling records of the 80's. It comes in a floppy disk sleave. A classic release. Both sides feature the same track in a different version. It has a great 80s electro feel to it, i love to play it in my sets. How does it feel...
