Undisputed Truth (2) - You + Me = Love - 14-Mar-07 01:24 PM
"You + Me = Love" is a classic disco bomb with a great performance by the whole ensemble. It starts up unsuspecting enough but boy does it take up speed fast - one minute into the song and youre in the middle of things, with the strings up in full arousal, the horns blaring and the vocalists on top of their lungs. After going through a couple of verses and choruses the second half of the 11+ minute track gives every member in the band their own solo; all the while the rhythm section keeps things tight and is really oozing the funk while the rhythm guitarist is trimming his wahwah on the side. In between, the female vocalists remind you of their presence with their ecstatic "YOU! PLUS! ME! EQUALS IM IN LOVE WITH YOU".. Definitely one of of the great hands-in-the-air party tunes out there!

Luke Solomon - Ghouls - 29-Jan-07 01:28 PM
Hilarious breakdown! I cant help myself laughing out loud whenever I hear the Claude Vonstroke Remix, the idea with the clichee laughing ghost is quite silly but really funny and thats what I love about most productions from the man: always adding some humour to his tight productions (check out "Deep Throat" and "The Whistler" for some more).

Orbital - Impact - The Remix - 29-Jan-07 01:28 PM
A great tune already in its 10-minute incarnation on the second orbital album, the USA remix of "Impact" has even better production still. It has an additional breakdown which is great to build up tension, then pickung up the pace and burning through to the end. Essential energetic track, and the flip isnt bad either!

Chocolette - It's That East Street Beat - 29-Jan-07 01:28 PM
Really outstanding production on this rather hard-to-find gem which still sounds fresh more than 20 years after its release. The vocal club mix is the best here with fabulous drum programming and an amazing drive brought by the ubiquitous cowbell. Essential tune for the energetic DJ!

Kerri Chandler - The June 23 EP - 29-Jan-07 01:28 PM
"Bar-a-thym" is already a legend and so its a cool move of Kerri Chandler to parodize his own hit with "Phuck This Cowbell". The breakdown is absolutely hilarious and features a desperate Chandler complaining that he "cant deal with this anymore" because his "arm is falling off".. (all the while you hear the relentless cowbell..) The track is a real banger and makes people jump to the roof and walls!
