Detroit Grand Pubahs - Nuttin' Butt Funk - 15-Nov-08 01:33 AM
After listening to it a couple of times I have to say: I like it. Its just another great Pubahs album in a style that only Pubahs can bring. Although I have to say I still prefer the Funk All Yall album, this one should not be missing from any Pubahs fans collection, or any electronic music enthusiasts collection for that matter. I find some songs not that good, but its nutbreakers like 50.000 Legions and especially Chitown Shuffle that make the record stand out. It just pounds ;). For the fans of Dr. Bootygrabber, htere is Thanks for Coming, which sounds a bit the same. Overall good album, lets hope Paris the Black FU and friends make some more of this sh*t.

Oh and btw, even if you still dont like the music, just get their albums for the cover arts. Its hilarious :P (I mean check out the beard :D)

She Wants Revenge - She Wants Revenge - 26-Nov-06 11:23 AM
Outstanding record, the best newcomer for me this year. The album offers good electronic influences along with modern pop. For some it could sound a bit monotone, although I find there is enough variation throughout the record.

Outstanding songs like Red Flags And Long Nights and These Things alone, make it worth buying. The special atmosphere that songs like Us and the hidden track bring is a very nice extra indeed.

Perfect for electronic lovers and pop/rock enthusiasts alike. And hey, if even a man like Dave Clarke recommends them, who are we to judge. Nice work!

Muse - Origin Of Symmetry - 07-Aug-06 08:30 AM
This CD is - as far as I am concerned - one of the musically and technically best albums of alltime (in its genre and maybe beyond). Pink Floyds "Dark Side Of The Moon" is astounishing, Michael Jacksons Thriller revolutionising, but Origin Of Symmetry is breathtaking at some point.

Muse is a very skilled band, especially Matthew Bellamy on the guitar.

New Born instantly sharpens your senses combing a wonderfull smooth piano intro followed by a powerfull guitar riff. The song is one of the best on the album, but still Space Dementia and Plug In Baby beat it with the smallest of points.

The songs are each and everyone very original and not boring. Its not a "heard one, heard em all type of album, not at all!

Every Muse fan without this album is not a Muse fan, and every (rock) music fan should consider adding it to his/her collection. Nice tunes, strong riffs, emotional piano melodies and a cutting edge voice bring a unique vibrant mix.

As I allready said: one of the best albums ever.

Deftones - B-Sides & Rarities - 01-Aug-06 12:12 AM
Not their best album, but refined in a way. Some songs are quite poor, e.g. the acoustic version of Change.

But the new songs, especially Savory and the wonderful Crenshaw/Ill Throw Rocks At You, make the album well-worth buying.

The video part is nice too, and thus this album is a must-have for every Deftones fan. Newbees that are interested in the Deftones are better off buying White Poney or Around The Fur.
