Various - The Best Of Hardcore - 06-Jan-08 06:28 PM
I went to Spain on purpose just to buy this cd. Thanks to this label, I have some of the best mainstream hardcore that hit the spanish clubs at the time. In my country, only a few underground labels import hardcore-techno based vinyls and cds, but everytime I play these 2 cds at a party or on my car, I think, it was worth the traveling like it had worth before. These songs are a must for anyone that enjoys mainstream hardcore. I guess the only defect I found in this release is that it only contains 2 cds, I wish there was at least 4 cds, but even that wouldnt be enough to satisfy my enjoyment of this style... Just play it loud and proud if you have the chance to own this cd.
Various - I ♥ Tecno Pop - 19-Dec-07 07:45 PM
I had the cd edition of this release a few years ago. It really shows some of the best songs of this genre. You can do a 80s theme party with this compilation but this is far away from italo-disco compilations. Its just pure synth-pop anthems that people should never forget or to those that dont know these songs, discover them, and buy these records if you can... 80s will be ever one of the best decades in music for very long time...
A-Tension - Angels - 19-Nov-07 08:08 PM
The first time I heard this song was in 1997, in a compilation "El Que Més Trenca" from Max Music Spain. In Portugal there never was space to happy hardcore, hardcore-techno, makina or the oldstyle rave... But I always had access to dutch happy hardcore and makina... This songs fits well in any dj set of fast bpm techno songs. But if heard too much, it can be annoying. But if the song kept in the memory of thousands of ravers, someone had the idea to do a remake in 2001. And once again, it was a hit. I recommend it do dance, or for a party. Its not the right track to hear like those repeatedly airplayed hits that we cant stand to hear anymore.
Dune (3) - Million Miles From Home - 19-Nov-07 07:55 PM
I could say that Im million miles away from everything when I hear this song. The song is not a classic happy hardcore song, but has influences, but the sounds are used in a perfect harmony. I think even people that like commercial trance music, could enjoy this powered-up happy trance anthem. I like it more than "Hardcore Vibes". Recommended to the ravers that like also happy techno, just to remember, or to whom wants to find out one of the 90s best happy techno songs.
Various - Mega Hardcore - 12-Nov-07 06:38 AM
I was a little disapointed with this compilation. Almost every knowned tracks can be found in full versions of Mokums F***king Hardcore series... Then, there are some unknown artists... Its my oppinion only, but some tracks give hardcore a bad name... They are really lame... And then there is Makina songs... I love makina... but this label could use some edited single versions of the songs instead ripping off excerpts from mixed sessions... It has 100 songs... at the cost of makina songs... one of them it has less then 15 seconds... If this was supposed to be a Hardcore compilation, they shouded have stick with hardcore, or at least improve the part where they put makina songs... You start hearing songs from another tracks until you reach the track mentioned on the cover...
At least on the second edition, its 100% full of hardcore... more from Mokum Records, and more from unknown artists...
