Profile: i'm originally from the washington, dc area but i currently reside in brooklyn, ny. i found this site about 5 years ago when i was searching for certain releases on google. this site is amazing! i am almost done cataloging my entire record collection but it keeps growing!

i've been a drum n bass dj for 14 years and i have recently been obsessed in collecting old skool breakbeat/hardcore and drum n bass records that i missed back in the day. however, i've recently been buying new drum n bass records as well.

all you drum & bass fans in NYC. come check out The Secret Night of Science if you're into the deeper side of DnB. It's run by DB of Breakbeat Science. We regularly bring in DJ's from all over the world. Check out http://www.myspace.com/secret_night for more info.

Decoder - Fuse / Tension Nov 10, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
i would have to kindly disagree with the previous comment. in a time when darkness ruled, this tune wasn't really that dark at all. it was very deep tune with a different atmposphere to it, but i wouldn't call it dark. both sides are well produced and both are equally as good. the drum sounds, bass, and almost all the elements of this tune are well ahead of its time and can still be played out today.
Danny Breaks Oct 08, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
Danny Breaks is one of the most underrated drum and bass figures of all time. He's been around since day one and his production/dj skills are phenomenal. i was lucky enough to see him spin at the first Sunrise Festival in Baltimore. I'm not sure if that was the one and only time he's ever spun in the US, but I've never seen him on any line-up since. His hip-hop and DnB tunes have always been quality!
Aquarius & Tayla - Bringing Me Down / Soul Searching Oct 07, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
Bringing Me Down is one of my all time favorite DnB tunes. IMHO, the tune sounds like it could have been made today with the exception that it's slower than 170 BPM. The song is so deep and I absolutely love the drums and the atmosphere. Definitely a 5/5!
Blame Oct 07, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
Blame used to be one of my favorite producers up until he started producing with The Pedge as KOTP. Although his studio skills are still great, the old Blame of Moving Shadow, GLR/LGR, etc. is gone. Now he makes noisy, sterile sounding drum and bass. I miss the deeper, more atmospheric side of Blame. And by the way, Blame is one producer (to correct the above comment).
