Profile: Back in 1984 the first record I bought myself as kid was:
Ray Parker Jr. - Ghostbusters (who'ya gonna call?)http://www.discogs.com/release/398813
Through the eighties I was musically influenced by: David Bowie,
Duran Duran, Eurytmics, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, INXS, U2 & Ultravox.
Some favourite tunes from my year of birth through my teenage years:
Steve Miller Band - Fly Like An Eagle (1976)
Jeff Wayne - War of the Worlds (1978)
Ultravox - Vienna (1980)
New Order - Blue Monday (1983)
Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy (1984)
Queen - Radio Ga Ga (1984)
Pat Metheny Group - This is not America "The Falcon and the Snowman" (1985)
Yello - Oh Yeah (1985)
Kate Bush - Cloudbusting (1985)
Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence (1990)
Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy (1991)
Late in the eighties I started to listen "Turn up the bass" cd's. Early nineties I discovered these strange Acid bleeps & noises on the first "Houseparty" compilations, then my curiousity was born for this music and started collecting it.
Unfortunatly much later I found out about special dj Recordstores in 1994.
Late '94 Tarkan Basar (a friend of my) introduced me to the legendary club "RoXY" in Amsterdam and its High Tech Soul Movement evenings with Dimitri, I was totally blown away! WOW! this is it!
1995 I started to learn myself spinning records!
Nowadays I like several kinds of genres between Deephouse, Minimal, Funky & Atmospheric Detroitish Techno.
Inspirating DJ's:
Dimitri (RoXY)Derrick May,Stacey Pullen, Laurent Garnier, Derrick Carter, Ricardo Villalobos
Some recordstores I spend a lot of money: Rush Hour, Distortion both in Amsterdam.

Marco Bernardi Presents Octogen - Square Bells EP - 22-Oct-09 07:01 AM
This glasgow producer Marco Bernardi not to mix up with Marino Berardi, delivers here a fantastic EP. Colourful as the record is so is this production. The tittle track "Square Bells Pt.1" an adventurious kinda broken/ offbeat track. The other two are more danceable tracks with for me the outstanding one "Sunset Over Tao" my favourite because its so warm, peacefull almost a bit melancholic. With so many layers of warm synths. A true example of Inteligent Dance Music.
