Profile: --Flashback-- Its 1992 and I am 16 years old. The afterhours club speakers are bangin' a blend of west-coast techno and house music. I take a quick peek at the turntables; looks like Depeche mode mixed with some dark techno, it sounds awesome. You can feel the massive fan blowing through your wet hair as time and space become one.
Thinking back, I knew that those were the days, you didn't need to wear the latest clothes to get in, it was all about how you danced. If you could dance, you got the respect and then you got the girls.
--10 years later-- Its the year 2000. Everyone and their dog is a Dj, glowstick trance has taken center stage, and afterhours cover has doubled.
Is this the future of Dance music?
Let me introduce myself
I am a producer/Dj, I am an analog purest, I am a dedicated musician. Since the mid 90's, I have been making house music. I am currently unreleased, so unless you are lucky enough to attend one of my parties, you wont find my tracks anywhere. I have no need for fame, all I need is what I have and that's enough. Look me up in a year and find that I am a contributing member of Discogs.

Reviews & Discussion:

I haven't written many articles on music recently, but after listening to Wire00 I felt it would be a good chance to say something positive about the music. Kernkraft did a nice remix on this track and I felt the production was really great overall. Yeah, compared to the stuff we listen to today, it's pretty tame stuff, but don't overlook the historical era that this music was introduced. I picked this up in the 100yen bin at Banana record in Nagoya, Japan. I like the funk and basslines and we mustn't overlook Takkyu Ishino's incredible talent and skill, the guy is a saint, not to mention a hell of a dj.
Definitely, this cheapo record I picked up in the hyaku yen bin has paid off for itself. Also, the tempo of the tracks is much faster than music nowadays. Good mix, well done boys.
Exist Dance Mar 07, 2008
Back it the 90's, Exist Dance was responsible for some serious, yet strange underground releases. Never falling victim to the status quo, Exist Dance was able to incorporate their own brand of electronica with the help of some amazing producers. The result was a style of music that went down well on a dance floor.
Then around 2000, Exist Dance records started to lose touch with their audience. Tracks like "Very Happy," were fun, but not dance floor friendly. It became harder for dj's to play new Exist Dance records, so they stopped buying them. A few years later, Exist Dance was no more.
Fortunately, there is a large back catalogue of amazing releases which have yet to be discovered by dj's that are trying to map out their sounds. Anyone who looks deep enough will find what they need and discover that these blasts from the past are as relevant today as ever.
Pole Folder & CP - Dust (Disc 1) Apr 12, 2007 (edited over 2 years ago)
I recently acquired this amazing record and it's a solid track from Pole Folder and CP. I really enjoy listening to the vocal chants and tight production work the whole way through. Although this is a progressive house track, it has elements in dream trance, so it wouldn't fit in the usual progressive set. However, I fully recommend this track to anyone who has ears, it's simply stunning.
Denki Groove - Niji (The MFS Twilight Remixes) Jul 24, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
What an awesome track! I still play this record everytime I DJ and the dancefloor loves it. Takkyu Ishino did an excellent job making "Niji." Both sides are excellent, but I'm partial to the label side. A very inspiring record to say the least.
Les Rythmes Digitales - Jacques Your Body (Make Me Sweat) Mar 15, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
A very decent mix from "Full Intention," brings this classic track back to life. The production is extremely good, the pads are superb and the funky slap bass keeps your head boobin' to the beat. Definitley worth playing out of the box.
DJ Ali - Will You Wait Nov 25, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
"Will you wait for me," is a nice solid deep house track from Dj Ali. The saxaphone leads and vocals are a nice touch, as well as the studio quality beats we've come to expect from Ali. If you get a chance pick this up, you won't regret it.
Various - The Catalyst Sampler V 2.0 Nov 13, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
The Catalyst Sampler V 2.0 makes a great addition to the DJ record bin, if only for Studio Nova's amazing track "Lucid Memory." Here you have a track that captures the elements of what funky house has become. Definitely not a perfect song, but it's off-timed stab and filtered vocal breakdown are tantilizing.
East 57th St* - Saturday Nov 12, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
The Jazz 'n' groove soulfuric dub mix of "Saturday," is a classic example of good vocal house music. This diva driven remix is an uplifting and beautiful tribute to the original. Although this record is nearly 10 years old, I still think it brings a good vibe to Dj sets today.
Dangerous Liaison - The Five Alive E.P. Nov 10, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
This record is awesome. If I could eat vinyl, I would snack on these tracks. Smoove is an awesome funky house track that surpasses time and space. This catchy disco funk song is exactly how the title describes it, "smoove."
