I love all kinds of music from Mozart to The Ramones. From Beethoven to Plastikman. I love it all, can't go a day without listening to some form of music. The only thing that means as much to me is dj'ing it.

Richie Hawtin - Decks, EFX & 909 - 11-May-06 05:43 AM
Of all Richies dj mixes, this one is the most accurate reflection of Rich in full dancefloor mode. Most of his mixes are more of a reflection of something more suitable for something away from the dancefloor (yet equally funky) but for the number of times Ive seen Rich play, this is the perfect reflection for how he can mix up a box of records and to that end, comparing this to my live experiences of seeing him do what he does best, this is the perfect time capsule to commemorate what Rich was like before he took djing to a whole other realm. Whether it is for better or worse is a whole other debate.

Circuit Breaker - The End (1991-1996) - 02-Jan-06 01:54 AM
One of the last truly great acid house records. This record displays how acid is the true link between house and techno. As a dj, this is the perfect record to take your sets from light to dark sounds.

DJ Hell* - X-Mix-5 - Wildstyle - 25-Dec-05 01:46 PM
Of all the releases in the X Mix series, this is probably the best one, save Kevin Saundersons. Using some of his fave acid/deep house moments as well as a couple of under-appreciated techno tracks, Hell creates a deep emotional mixing experience that still occupies a regular spot in my cd changer to this day. IMO, this is the finest mix that Hell has ever released.

DBX - Losing Control - 18-Dec-05 11:17 PM
Aside from perhaps Rob Hoods "The Pace", "Losing Control" would have to be considered as one of the most versatile, hypnotic slabs of music to ever be pressed to vinyl. Maybe even more so. Im not quite sure if Pace would fit as well with some of the more organic house tracks like "Losing Control" does, but having said that, LC does takes the element of hypnotism in music to another level. If any track were capable of triggering symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Dan Bells masterpiece is certainly worth mentioning. Top Tune!

Smiths, The - Meat Is Murder - 23-Mar-05 09:50 AM
For some reason, this album gets a bit of a bad review in comparison to The Smiths other releases, but I feel that bad review is a bit unjustified. The lyrical content is somewhat the same as any other Smiths albums but the music is just as strong. From the bullied refrains of "The Headmaster Ritual" the morbidness of "That Joke Isnt Funny Anymore" and of course "How Soon Is Now". Is this album a stroke of genius? No, but it is a strong album nonetheless. Any album with a song that has the line "Id like to drop my trousers to the Queen" has to get some consideration as a great work of art.
