Sponge is the track for many parisian ravers back in the mid 90's.
It was the soundtrack of the Patrick Rognant's radio FG show "Rave Up" every saturday. It reminds me the second wave of parisian rave parties.
We also all remember the amazing voice of Patrick and all the best Dj's who played on the radio show before dj'ing on the following parties.
Yes, it's a must have for all parisian ravers ! Now you know what was this mysterious track we all looked for.

The Grant Dell "Up the Flames" vocal mix won't leave my house Dj bag because of its strong groovy basseline.
A wicked party people track that will make dance all the crowd.
Easy, funky and a good vocal on the top.
This record make the girls dancing every time...and they all dance the sexiest they can.
A great basseline ready to burn the dancefloor.

In my opinion, one of the best bassline ever. Every time I dropped this record, the crowd went mad because of this unstoppable funky groove. Every time, people were asking me what record it is.
So good that I bought a second copy in case of...I won't never sell these records.
A pure house party funky record without a doubt !

It's the first time I see a sticker stickered on the track (here : B2 = XTC)and not on the sleeve !
If you remove it, you will find 2 crossed marks. I mean a big X.
You can play it...but you know what it could happen and how it will sound. But the marks are perfectly done :)
You really can play this track and mix it as every record in your box. It works without a doubt. Perfect marks I wrote !
This track is a real raw chicago dirty acid as some Relief Records, Dance Mania or Muzique.

This album is the picture of Laurent's residency at the Rex Club between 92 to 94 called Wake Up (the aim was to wake the parisian up).
I remember him always playing Rex Attitude or Bouncing metal back in the days.
Techno album but with his french flair, Laurent gave us a solid album dedicated to people who helped him and to all the dancers.
