Profile: I'm a 34 year old record collector, although my collection does not look huge on discogs, I have many thousands of records over many genres. However it would not be right to clog the bowels of discogs with the non-electronic titles. I've been into IDM, Techno, UK Hip Hop for over 14 years now, and never tire of amazing music. I love Warp & Ninja Tune most. I love music fullstop, whether it's classical or Indie. However I hate C&W and any shite pop stuff. I'm intrigued why so few (that i'm aware of) ppl don't seem to like both IDM and Hip Hop. I would like to hear from ppl (esspecially in the UK) who like both types. I subscribe to idm@hyperial.org which I would recommend as the best IDM group that I have come accross. Although most of it's members are from the US there are members from all over the globe. There is info on many events and releases.

My main artist loves are: Autechre, Aphex Twin, Boards of Cananda, Plaid, Squarepusher, anything by Andy Weatherall (TLS, Sabres etc), Funki Porchini, The Herbaliser & Dj Food. I would love to list everybody else but i'm lazy...

Plaid - 04-Oct-03 03:59 AM
Plaid: THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD. Who can surpass them when it comes to writing, producing & remixing? Well, you can try and think of someone, but at the end of the day there isnt anyone! From the early days (Undoneson) to now (Spokes), everthing they have done has been of the highest quality. With an amazing insight into music they touch everyone who hears them. Never to be bettered, never to be beaten

Broadcast - Pendulum - 19-May-03 01:37 PM
Lovely record, and not as indie as previous releases. The production is a little bit odd, which works realy well and accentuates the vocals. I would say their best so far. A sound signing by Warp.

Chris Clark - Ceramics Is The Bomb - 19-May-03 01:26 PM
This is an amazing release, It is a beautiful mixture of the Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada and Squarepusher. Realy complex yet has the melodics you would expect from Warp. It deserves all the praise it gets.

Polygon Window - Surfing On Sine Waves - 21-Feb-03 04:09 PM
One of the most deffinative lps of the 90s; listen to the soaring srings etc...You will not be dissapointed! R D J has produced some stuff in his time, but this does best prove his talent, and more.

Primal Scream Meet The Two Lone Swordsmen - Stuka - 13-Nov-02 02:32 PM
Truly stunning record. Captures both the feel of the original and has some of the best vocoda stuff Ive heard.
