Evan (2) - Understanding Just A Little - 27-Apr-09 04:15 AM
Strange release, ambient with a touch of experimental vibes, is hard to describe. Floating music. Track 1 has some water sounds, track 2 has some chants mixed with dreaming landscapes, track 3 is very sad and deep, the best of the CD. The rest of the cd continues on this flow: trippy dreaming ambient/downtempo. I would recommend it if it was an easy finding but as a matter of fact the few references i found of this CD on the net make me think it was really never distributed anywhere..
I want to make a public call the other user who has this CD, please contact me. I found this album badly scratched and left on the street without a case and i would really like to know what the cover was alike and what information were on it, maybe there is even the real name of this Evan, i have to write this here because you have listed your collection as private and i am not able to contact you.
Crop Circles - Lunar Civilization - 14-Nov-08 09:02 AM
Well, what a lucky finding. This is a very rare release, it was sold locally in UK only at Psychedelic Dream Temple (Camden Town), as all the people having an original copy of this got it either there or from Tom Colebrook himself and it was probably pressed in a very limited quantity too.
The music is awesome and there is no doubt that the track lunar civilization was one of the most played anthems back then, a true classic of the genre.
Antonomasia is also very well known and this is the only disc where you can find it in digital quality as it appeared only on vinyl otherwise.
The last track is also a true stormer, the beautiful and passionate remix of Full Mental Jackpot.
Ace music.
DJ Michel* - Trance Generations - 29-Aug-08 09:06 AM
This CD is somehow a crossroad between Nitzohonot, melodic israeli goa and real goa trance, and there is a notable track which is Luminus - T. M. O. that circulated for many years on p2p servers and on traders lists as Etnica vs. Luminus - No Name but as a matter of fact is just a Luminus track (but what a track!) and is the only reason to own this cd, as it really outstand from the rest of the tracks here. Oforia and DJ Cosmix is the second best track of the cd, a famous track that is avaliable on many compilations. Overall is an outdated cd, production wise, but somehow good for the nostalgics.
Lunar Asylum With Sid Shanti - Planet X / Another Planet - 27-Aug-08 05:33 AM
Acid Trance, listened today is really outdated, quite noisy all over, an hint of Indian scales on side A, but overall just some acidic lines here and there with no much of a story, production is also notably poor, not really well mastered.
Too bad because there are some good moments in the tracks but really it didnt age too well. I kind of prefer Side B (pardon AA) as is more subtle and with more studying, in any case both sides are quite fast playing at over 146 bpm.
Lunar Asylum had better records out there in my opinion
Process (2) - Internal Horizon / Funktion Junktion - 18-Jun-08 02:21 PM
Side A: Classical UK PsyTrance as just few producers delivered back then, a classic tune that should be well known as is released on various compilations, stomping and psychedelic, very good.
Side B: Funky Trance! an unknown tune as isnt released elsewhere but that can spice up any set, is really well done and one of the few of the genre that i dig :) Production is clear and the changes of tempo are just nice.
Overall an excellent EP!
