Hugh Bullen - Night Girl - 04-Mar-09 09:02 AM
This is arguably the best Italo-Disco / Eurodance release on the Fantasy International Records label. Even though it contains all the elements of the many late Italo and Eurodance releases it still stands out. One can tell that one of Switzerlands top dance music producers of the time was a driving force behind this release. It remains unclear what the connection to Hugh Bullen ("Alisand") is.
This is a dancefloor burner all round. Be sure to check out the Miami Dub version.
M.C. Fosty & Lovin' C* / Arcade Gang Featuring Rich Cason - Radio Activity Rapp / Radio Activity Syndrome - 27-Aug-07 09:40 PM
Pretty cool piece except for the Queen quote they cut in there. Fortunately all three versions of the song are long enough so you can avoid those embarassing few seconds when playing this at a party.
Dopplereffekt - Gesamtkunstwerk - 30-Jul-07 10:49 AM
Chillingly beautiful release that, seen in retrospective, preceded the (80s) Electro revival weve seen in the early 2000s. I unsuspectingly picked this up in 1999 at a local record store and it instantly initialized my switch from Drum n Bass to Electro. There might have been other influences as well but I dont remember any so vividly as I do this Dopplereffekt release. Incidenly this staid in my record bag until recently. I finally had to retire it because it was so worn. One of the few records that have changed my life (musically speaking).
