Grit (2) - Expanse - 12-Sep-09 01:56 PM
Today i finally receive all copies of this shoreless label. I find it to be very poor quality for the price I have had to pay for these. The back of each CD case was filled of ink and left me needing to wash my hands by touching the case. Very poor quality for the money, it would been better to download this catalog instead. The mastering is not good to these ears but with all this considered there are still some good music selection to choose from. This release by Grit is the best one for me, it evokes thought and gives you something i find most of the others lack. There is a lot of thought put into these songs and a radiant vibrant sound glowing hot like the sun.

DeepChord Presents Echospace - The Coldest Season - Part 3 - 26-Jul-08 11:08 AM
If echospace could be said to have written one perfect song 'sunset' would be it. This is the type of song so powerful it lift's the spirit and soul to such massive height's. With all that is out there in dub techno at the moment it would be quite hard to stand up next to the beauty of sunset, they really made something magical here. Compelling. Magnificent. Radiant. Glowing. Beautiful. The best song on a brilliant album.

Carl Craig - More Songs About Food And Revolutionary Art - 26-Jul-08 10:59 AM
This is the kind of album you could listen to 100 years from now and it would still sound current. As much as Derrick May and Juan Atkins set out to produce music of the future, Carl Craig nailed it on this album, a truly remarkable & timeless album which I will love until the end. Sweet, bitter and seductive, At Les could make you cry a tear and smile at the same time. Beautiful.

Paperclip People - Basic Reshape - 26-Jul-08 10:54 AM
To say this is an astonishing piece of music wouldnt quite do this justice. The remix pulled out of Carl Craig's "The Climax" might be one of the best remixes of our time. The melodies are treated with well crafted equalization tricks and a repetitive groove you could swim in. You can also see where Mike Huckaby gained his influence on his astounding remix of Deepchord on his synth label as these two do not sound to far apart. This is as essential a record as Model 500 "Starlight" or Derrick May's "Strings Of Live" wicked.
