Skull* vs. ESP* - The Power Hour - 21-Jun-06 05:16 AM
For those who like acid this is one to hunt down. G-rated is an acid track that burns the floor with pounding bassdrums, loud 909 hihats and of course that lovely squelching 303 sound. The other two tracks sadly arent as exhilarating - Power Hour starts off as a nice banging but minimal tune but doesnt progress enough for my liking while The Drive lacks groove too much to be a good dubby techno track.

Latin Project - Hot & Spicy - 06-Apr-06 11:21 AM
Fairly average (but decent) club house tracks except for B2 - Orlando Voorns remix, which stands out from the other 3 tracks by being surprisingly deep and moody. This track has made me hang on to the record as I moved away from house on to techno.

Alice D. In Wonderland / Marionette - Time Problem - 22-Mar-06 06:49 PM
Time Problem was one of the most magical tracks in the time when house music was starting to become more popular (in Holland at least). It marked the beginning of the few beautiful tracks that Dimitri and Eric Nouhan made together and undoubtedly made quite a few people explore the (then fairly new) house music scene further.

Wonka Beats - 21-Mar-06 10:38 AM
Wonka Beats always stood out from the rest due to their excellent sleeve art, ranging from artistic to just funny (Nuts on Mars). The music usually stood out too, but not always in a good way. These records were hot and had to be got back in the 90s. Its mostly nostalgia that makes me want to listen to the tracks again today since most of it is pretty strange or just-not-quite-there. The Wonka team always strived to bring something different from the mainstream though, and IMHO usually succeeded.

Jark Prongo - K-Ucci - 21-Mar-06 08:24 AM
Without a doubt my favourite Fresh Fruit release. Single track A side brings a dancable trance/acid - electro/breakdance (!) combination that works surprisingly well. The two B-side tracks were more technoid than most of the other FF releases which were more happy-club-housey in general. Both tracks still sound fresh after over a decade - and especially now that minimal techno is the trend Jark Prongo proved to be ahead of time back in 94 :) If I were to select my single favourite Fresh Fruit record it would be this, no doubt about it.
