Profile: My real name is Arris Roordink. I live in a small city in the east of The Netherlands, near the German border. I have been collecting records all my life and have a collection of about 6000 items. My goal is to add all items from my collection which are missing in Discogs, so I can have a complete list. I hope to be ready in about 6-7 years :).

I am interested in practically every style of music and enjoy Dance as well as Bluegrass, Breakcore as well as Post Rock, Chansons as well as Emocore and Hiphop as well as Fusion. My preferences shift all the time: five years ago I was very much into soul, fusion and latinhouse. Right now I am listening to electronix/glitch and postrock most of the time.
When I am not busy with music and not sleeping I am mostly reading comics (Dylan Horrocks, Adrian Tomine and Manu Larcenet are my favourites) and enjoying life in general.

A few weeks ago, me and a few friends who are all very much into electronic music found out that for all of us it started with this album because it was so well advertised we all bought it in our younger years. And of course we all bought the original versions later.
The point is of course that, though it are indeed inferiour versions of great originals, the album was very popular at the time. That way it influenced a whole new generation of future musicians and consumers of electronic music, making the album relevant despite it is only cover versions.
