Nico - Mind Flux - 05-Oct-07 02:07 PM
Oh Boy, ESP at the time this record was released a very varied label. "The scream" on this 12" sounds totally different to the other 3 tracks. For me more elegant, more advanced in its sound design. Clear produced, not using the old fashioned 'hard sounds' well known for its time, more like some 'new ways to go'and compared to the other tracks for me way ahead of its time. Screaming, shifting, ready to take you right across the dancefloor and back. Definitely one of my absolute favs in 'techno history'. Check it out!
Green (2) - 05-Oct-07 12:01 PM
Now that electronic music is not that revolutionary thing anymore, as it had been in the early 90's, and releaseing tracks seems to be more commen, it is not that easy to find tracks and even labels releaseing timeless stuff. Joris Voorn has been around for ages and defenitely belongs to the revolution developing guys. This label and its releases are so tight, indescribable and for these days even more than timeless. All three 12" singles are pumpin, high quality sound design, always different and a tightrope walk between minimal and old school. A pleasure to own all three releases and sure to be played for ages. Green developes to a collectors label but never forgets to put out real dancefloor killers. Keep it up! And listen to this tunes! ... a blast...
Various - I ♥ Techno - The Classics (Volume 1 Of 5) - 19-Mar-07 11:07 PM
That is a real 'classics' 12". Mega combination with a powerfull old school 'Underworld' raving track 'REZ' and Carl Craig's remix of Dave Angel's 'AIRBORN'. The original subtitle of Carl's rmx is "Carl Craig's drums suck mix" and as you do not find a kick drum in this track, it still blows your mind and head off. Carl created a bassy, emotional monster with a heart drilling scream. With the length of about 12 minutes the track builds itselfe up again and again and again. Nice effectiveness on the dancefloor, cause audience always waits for the kickdrum to start. Tweaked in right, it is just to say 'no kick drum necessary'!!
Swag - VersionLimited01 - 11-Mar-07 03:19 AM
This 12" is my absolout favourite Swag release so far. Never left my case since I bought it. Crumpled cones just works perfect at any time to play. Builds itself up, comes back for dancefloor recreation and goes on to the next mind tweakin round. Fine, dry and clearly composed sounds with the right amount of kick'n percussion Swag birde a timeless piece of music. Builds up warm and charming vibes just to hook on to as dancing reveler...
Martin Buttrich - Full Clip / Programmer - 14-Jan-07 04:19 AM
Oh Boy, what a monster 12". Full Clip starts up nicely and windes itself up to peak, after the first little break it comes back big time to hook on after the second break! Just when you listen to Full Clip at home and relax, you figure out the massive complexity of this tune. Absoloutly timeless track, pumpin but still elegant as a gentleman, and like a lot of Martin's last programmings as well as his alongside Loco Dice productions. Spin this, and don't miss!
