A release featuring a lot of mediocre tracks by Tim Schuldt in collaboration with others. The track by Jaia is a wonderful track, but in my opinion this album is made worthwhile simply by virtue of the last track by BETH, some of the better work of Tim Schuldt, aptly titled Harsh. This track is made of harsh industrial sounds with some cool beeping noises and only released on a couple compilations. Its not as good as Blighty but still very interesting especially for lovers of the industrial goa trance.
Overall Id rate this around 6-7/10.
Brain Accent - Orange Acid EP - 26-Jun-08 03:49 PM
Orange Acid and Anno Domini are simply amazing! Energetic, acidic, complex... my favorite style of Goa trance. As a bonus both these tracks run around 9 minutes long even though I always feel satisfied that they are beautiful tracks if they ended around 5 minutes -- but they just keep on going. :)
The third track is nothing special to me, just a short filler.
This is my favorite release by Tim Schuldt because its the most acidic but the others are great too.
Cypher-O* - Arsenic - 12-Jun-08 12:50 PM
Track A1 is later released as "Arsonik" on "Backfire" by Transwave. Its an intense track that sounds a lot like Astral Projections style. (Of course this was released before most of Astral Projections work.)
Track A2 is later released as "Code S9" on "Backfire" by Transwave. This is one of my favorite tracks by Transwave -- its really just amazing all around.
Track B is another great track which is darker and slower than the others. Its not as hypnotic or epic as the others, but still nothing shabby.

Dont expect too much from this even though Planet BEN. and X-Dream have both released some amazing albums in the past.
My general impression is that most of the tracks are too dull and boring. This release reminds me of Bens album "Silver". Granted I rated "Silver" 2/5 and Ill rate this 3/5, but you really ought to listen to his earlier work instead of this if you want to hear him at his best. His track "Non Sense", released in 1998, one of my favorites, is really amazingly intricate and absorbing. Unfortunately, though youll hear a similar beat in several of these tracks, you wont find anything 1/2 as complex or well done on this release.
Planet Ben* - Silver - 22-May-08 10:21 PM
This is a very weak release. The only track thats actually good is Pulse, which was already released on the Pulse EP. Theres really no reason to listen to get this album other than for that one song. Unfortunately Planet BEN. is venturing away from Goa. Trippy Future Garden was promising and Non-Sense is one of my favorite tracks of all time. Pulse is good too, but the rest of the new tracks are lacking in complexity and boring to listen to.
