Mole People, The - Break Night / Ocean - 06-Aug-07 02:26 PM
The Mole People is an alias that reflects the underground nature of the project and this release certainly justifies this. I heard Break Night just a week ago and OMG its an amazing track! The tune is based on a simple synth/bassline and is filled with so much soul! Clearly an epic; you get that classic feeling when you here it (it keeps ringing in your head). Proof of Armands artistic genius. This is a must have in any house collection.

This release is a great track - even if it is a cover; Its great to see that there are still a few artists around who make tunes that still have a very classic (early/mid 1990s) vibe to them, with a current touch. Already one of the standout house releases for 2007 in my opinion.
Meat Katie & Elite Force With Roland Clarke* - Divine / Lazer - 11-Jul-07 12:21 AM
This is an ecxellent release from the underground club veterans. What we have here are a set a well produced tracks and a pair of ingenious remixes bundled together. Divine is a nice house track with Roland talking in a gospel like manner. The Infusion remix really takes the cake, though; The samples are well textured and the vocal snippets have been creatuvely manipulated (superimposing two different frequencies onto each other).

These guys have their own unique style of dance music: a mix of dubby psychedaelic with bangin beats and catchy lyrics. And theyve remixed quite a few artists too. A real delight for the ears!
Ryuichi Sakamoto - Chasm - 01-May-07 08:19 AM
As I watched the movie Babel, I could not help but shed tears at an ambient piece of music that played when the japanese teenagers were having some fun out in the city; that tune was very moving...and it so happens to be a track in this very album: Only Love Can Conquer Hate. It really is a beautiful track. Ryuichi layers a soothing ambient/sonic texture with some contrasting soundscapes - clearly capturing and expressing the meaning of the tracks title - where the love really conquers the hate. So true!!
