Gino Soccio - Face To Face - 03-Dec-06 01:56 AM
All tracks on this LP are great. I would say "Remember" is really the outstanding track due to its timeless production and futuristic atmosphere. It has this outer space Italo-Disco touch. But imo all the other tunes are also very good songs, also if they are more traditional 70s Style (minimal-) Disco and not as groundbreaking and visionary as "Remember". This is one of my favourit LPs also because it holds the quality in every song. There are no fillers, just winners!
Gene Hunt - Gene Hunt Classics - 02-Dec-06 07:39 AM
This is a must have for all Chicago House freaks (if you dont have the originals already). A selection of some of the best classic Gene Hunt tracks from his early days of producing. Including "Twilight People" with legendary Robert Owens delievering outstanding vocals. One of the best Chicago Jack tunes ever! The dark and atmospheric classic "Freddys Dead", the great minimal Jack House tune "body heat", the hypnotising "Groove Line" and so on. Actually it is senseless to name the highlights because every track is a highlight on this one! Most of the tracks are dark and scary Acid House tunes as they can only come from Chicago...
Rhythm Doctor - Journey To Obscurity - 29-Sep-06 06:36 AM
A2 is based on the Chicago House Classic "r u hot enough" by Virgo. Actually it is nearly the same track. Just the strings that come in at the end of the original are missing here and the rhythm is a little bit different. I like it and I also like the other tunes on this record. Very percussive. Thats why the name is Rhythm Doctor, i guess..
