Lucifer (2) - Black Mass - 24-Sep-09 04:24 PM
Masterpiece!

Of all the wierd wonderful stuff produced by Mort Garson in the 70s, this occult-psychedelic 70s Moogmadness really stands out.

Full of breakbeat galore, intense synthesizer abuse and original themes, this was really a unifying concept. Black Mass showcases Moog delivering sounds sinister and exciting to a degree the lurid horror films of the day never matched.

Under the devilish psuedonym "Lucifer", Garson outputs his wildest hodgepodge of electronix who at times reminds me of something Hallucinogen would have produced back in the 70s.

Amplified Orchestra - Space Lady - 31-Dec-07 04:37 AM
Hats off for this record. The Space Lady track alone is a reason to start digging for this while its still available.
Its an exquisite piece of wobbling spacedisco. What should be mentioned is that the track itself was written by Moon Birds in 1978 and is named Astro "9". However, Amplified Orchestra has done a good job in giving this a touch of the 21st century give it a punchier more shuffling sound and also treats us with another good +2 minutes. Comes really recommended.

Magda - She's A Dancing Machine - 29-Oct-06 09:38 AM
71 wicked songs chopped up and blended with love into 16 chunky clickadelic minimal qualitytracks makes this a must-have.
Definetly not what i expected from Magdalena but this just show even more of her talent and i love it!. Tiny edits, loops and effects all over, jumping back and forth creating interesting new tracks with her Abelton layering.
To rate any particular part in this set, i cant do that, but this is one hot melting pot who instantly became a resident on my mp3 player and it wont leave the CD player for a looong time. Do not miss out on this one.

Galaxy - Solar Synthesis - 25-Mar-06 02:03 PM
Killargh earth-trance vs. space-ambient release by Boris Blenn.

"Higher Frequency" is like a warm summernight around the fire until it after some minutes into the track invites us into "Taking off for Higher Frequencies" and as promised motions us into tranced-out space.

The styles on this album range from Ambient, Trance to Disco and at times feel like Euro-Disco meets Electric Universe.
This is a nice item in ones collection.

Angel Tears - Angel Tears Vol. 2 - 21-Mar-06 03:30 PM
Not only for being a fan of Seb Taylors work, i must say this is one of the records ive listened to the most since i bought it back when it was released. A stunning serotonin-restoring album. Ive had a good go at the other Angel Tears albums and i must call this my one personal favorite.

Listening through their old productions (solo works), id never thought that Mommi + Sebastian would result in a sound like this!.
Enchanting! Truly recommended.
