Nylon Moon - Sky Plus
Sep 17, 2007
Bob Sinclar: arguably the worst "artist" of this era: his producing is downright feeble and despicable, ranging from stealing complete tracks to raping C&C music factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat". Inane vocals in abundance, loops to give you twitching headaches, cheese-feeding until your head explodes like rotten fruit. Really, every man with a minimum of intelligence will agree with me: music for the music-haters amongst us!
Frankly, "Bitches & Ho's" is as inane as hardhouse can get. Set apart by the ominous Dunglish vocals, (a trait Dutchmen are well-known for) this track edged its way through all the Low-Land discotheques. Granted, the vocals are distinctive and comical at some point, but the "melody" makes me -and many others I dare say- puke.
Once again it's one of those songs that amount to become temporary legends, but -unlike real quality productions- will rapidly forfeit their favour. All in all this record is mediocre at best, and highly overrated. But that's no novelty, is it?
Great box on this CLASSIC, the most famous trance tune of the world I suspect. However the majority of the remixes are crap, probably you'll find yourself only playing 10% of what you have bought, but it's a nice item in your collection no doubt.
In my opinion, only the "DJ Kid Paul Mix", "Cosmic Baby's Impression", "Solar stone Remix" and "Oliver Lieb Extended 1 Remix" are worth it!
The Bradski and Jenski Remix sometimes makes me getting tears in the eyes (out of joy and excitement, ominously!) A stunning remix, and I hate to say this but there's more to it than the original: more powerful, a beau-ti-ful piano, summery, joyful. Really, there aren't too many trance songs that can do THAT to me what this remix does!
Excellent jump remixes!
This E.P. contains 4 commercial trance-dance tracks, and the jumper crew did their very best to transform these into some pounding & pleasant jumptracks! Not just a harder kick, but complete reworks! Some effort was put in, and it shows! Secret (Absolom) is my favourite: warm strings at the beginning, sensual lyrics and a re-edit of the melody with oldschool samples. "Spread The Word Around" also got me hooked: I've been listening to it for over thousands of times, surely! The song's composure kept intact, though with a different approach. Formula and Flashback are less breathtaking, but definitely worth a listen as well. This E.P. is not well-known and limited in numbers, so it's really a gemm worth looking for!
They don't come much better than this! What a masterpiece of psychedelic trance. The track starts with very mysterious ambient strings, and then, that unmistakable high piano, along with terrific percussion and soft 3O3's, it all fits in so well! Really XTC for your mind!
When I come home tired and I put the needle on this record (with a dropped pitch of 2% to 3%) I'm immediately transferred to a higher level of consciousness.
A truly shocking piece of music. What an annoying R.E.P.E.T.I.V.E. melody which really sounds like an old nagging lady. Now that surely won't leave your mind, which is of course reason n°1 this track is a hit. Most people who are not into music, just want fuckin' music on their fuckin' radio, and if a tune sticks into their minds, however bad... then they'll appreciate it...
To all people who are SERIOUS about music... avoid and CONDEMN this shit! | ||||
Spacey, romantic trance, that piano hits you right where it has to: in the heart. A so steady minimal track, though it doubtlessly carries energy that reminds me of an old noisy steam locomotive. Bluntly put, it can come across like the typical sound of the genre, still it's not anywhere near a track like two a penny. Its tranquility blends into the powerful rhythm.
Are you fond of trance? Go seek this record, right now, you won't regret it. This is one to remind!
