Reviews & Discussion:

For those who do not know this and like mid 90's progressive house, this is an essential purchase.

Back in 1995 BT did a special mix for Manchester's Kiss 102 (pre galaxy days) on Christmas Day. Playing pust a few very epic progressive house tracks, the usual 'big uns' from that year but nestled in between tracks by the likes of Sasha, BT, Dekkard was one hell of a gem. No title given, just 12 minutes of sublime progressive house. Fast forward through 13 years of searching for a title and listening to my only copy on a worn tape, to a random day in January 2009, placing a mystery white label on the deck and almost cried when this beauty played back.

The only reason i can fathom why this isn't wanted more is purely because no-one knows it exists. Buy it, listen to it and cherish it. Whoever made this track is fookin genius!!
While this record is nothing spectacular, the 'Love Is Real Mix' begins accapella and those familiar with Red Jerry and his now infamous and much overlooked track Red Sun 'This Love' on Hooj Choons from 1996, will recognize the vocal: 'This love is reeeeaaal' that he sampled on that track and so began all the hooj problems.

Kathryn Dion also sang on the classic 2Funky2 'Brothers & Sisters' which Red Jerry remixed on the 1993 Logic Records release

I know it's Simply Red, but it was 1995 and it was doublepack/triplepack promo remix heaven and anyone a fan of mid nineties progressive house NEEDS to check the A & G Division's The Great Divide Dub.

Hammered by Sasha back in the day it is a great example of the mid nineties sound. The mix doesn't do anything spectacular but it builds, builds and oh----builds, with a wicked bassline break halfway through, yes halfway through, from a time when tracks really weren't finished until the end.

This doublepack took me the best part of a decade to track down, yes kids, before the dawn of the internet, some records were pretty hard to find and is worth much more than the pennies it's selling for - so grab it while you can.

The SPS Cained Mix is worth checking too but the A & G Division's The Great Divide Dub is the one to check as also are most other A&G mixes from the 95-96 period.
