TMR - Pirate Toon Dec 13, 2008
I remember the moose mix of this being played on pirates back in 93 but it is not a tune you here being played in old skool sets in the uk nowadays.Have heard that this is a massive tune in spain???? and fetches up to £400 for a copy???.The tune itself is jolly roger type happy hardcore peice but the moose mix is a more stripped down jungle vibe with mc moose laying a vocal track dedicating it to the pirate crew ( the pirate radio stations of the day ) .
You just have to give this one a review. A brilliant track that evokes all them memories of 1993.This was a pirate radio favorite
that was loved by the early happy hardcore heads just as much as the jungle massive. All the samples used as in any great hardcore tune feel like they were made for each other,That amen, the daddy Freddy vocal snippet "London massive" sugar bear "call me a star ,watch me shine" and ooh that vocal "we can do it ah , together ooh ooh ooh" pure gold!!!
For Me This Is One Of The Most Important Records In The History Jungle/dnb. A True Dance Floor Smasher That Merged The Speeded Up Hip Hop Breaks With Raggamuffin Bass lines And Sporadic Reggae And Hip hop Samples. All Topped Off With A Vocal Track From The Rebel Himself , The Mighty Tenor Fly and Frighty.A True Killer That Does Not Fail To Smash Up The Dance floor Any Time Its Played. The Rebel Used These Succsesful Ingredients To Make Some Other Killer Tracks But For Me This Tops The List As Most Definetley The Wickedest Sound.
