Profile: Budapest Cafe Lounge was founded by a few Hungarian DJ's (mainly from Radio Tilos) in order to play lounge, chilled beats, jazzy-grooves at different Bp. lounge venues. Now we're reduced to 2 of us, and our style is more varied from breaks, beats, hip-hop, to IDM, leftfield beats, broken beat, electro-house, etc.

DJ DSL - #1 - 28-Jan-07 09:53 PM
One of the greatest albums in the history of laidback, Vienna-style grooves. The songs are well based, bass oriented like hip-hop, but deep and funky with dub attitude. The rhythm structure of some songs seems very simple at first sight, the grooves are rare, full with air, however they let your head nod all the way.
Various - House Of Loungecore - 08-Aug-06 10:56 AM
Excellent collection of the golden era of easy listening music. When you listen to The John Schroeder Orchestras The Bird Has Flown, youll know where the vocal theme of Herbalisers Something Wicked... comes from.
Nickodemus - Funky In The Middle - 23-Nov-05 09:57 PM
Listening to the works of Nickodemus the word World Music gets a better meaning. I dont like this term, but nothing fits better this kind of real melting pot music, where arabic, latin and black music elements come together - in a very funky way. The Haaksman rmx will hit all the jazzdance floors.
Koushik - Be With / One In A Day - 22-Nov-05 06:00 PM
Highest quality of psychadelic hip hop, using elements and moods of psych-rock, folk and even blues. Warmly recommended to the fans of Nu Mark and the Up Above releases, but also the lovers of Four Tet will come out good from the game.
Funki Porcini - Hed Phone Sex - 14-Oct-05 05:41 AM
One of the records at the beginning of the electronic music revolution determined my awareness towards music. Brilliant, atmospheric, psychedelic. It naturally balances between jazz, dub, trip-hop, and spoken-word-sample art. Should be an object proposed to every wanna-be downtempo artist.
