C.O.D. - Uphill (Peace Of Mind) - 21-Nov-08 12:30 PM
Source of the faed Here We Go Again sample, this is a completely different vibe the In the Bottle as it lacks Man Parrish on production but nonetheless this is an amazing jam which has some severe energy. Breakdancers love this jam for the throbbing manic bassline and also the huge beats that literally shake the club. Definitely worth hunting down a copy if you like electro, breaks and huge beats. Doesnt have as clean a production as In the Bottle but is great

International Music System - Nonline - 21-Nov-08 12:18 PM
In all my digging, working in record stores, DJing etc.. I have rarely been so impressed by an electro jam as I have been by the International Music Systems - Nonline this group hails from Italy and this 12" is light years ahead of its time. The fact that you can find this for $39 on Discogs is ridiculous considering I listed mine at over $900 not that anyone would part with almost a grand for what has to be one of the top 10 electro jams of all time, as featured on my Essential Mix. In all my years of digging I have only veer seen this two times possibly the most difficult 12 on this label and well worth having as its that amazing.

NOVA (19) - You Can Do It - 21-Nov-08 12:12 PM
Another masterpiece that would be impossible to find anyplace if it only circulated on a few key mixtapes. Brilliant and creative and light years ahead of its time this was featured on Carlos Berrios amazing Bits & Pieces 86 Medley where I discovered it than instantly called all the New York shops to find out it was this killer record. Opera vocals over storming beat only made better under the knife of razor blade king Omar Santana. These should be all gone just for the sheer quality of this mesmorizing jam!!!

Schroeder - Linus & Lucy - 18-Nov-08 03:16 PM
This is absolutely brilliant and few people even know of this record. This is Carlos Berrios and Omar Santana basically just tearing the Charlie Brown theme to pieces on the Otari reel to reels with their amazing multiple edits under a large kick drum. Devastating display of electronic tape manipulative gymnastics which really shows why they are considered two of the masters of tape edits. And naturally I havent hit the needed 75 word minimum. maybe I have now lets see if this gets accepted

Brenda K. Starr - Pickin' Up Pieces - 12-Nov-08 01:53 PM
This record was featured in Bits and Pieces 86 mastermix by Carlos Berrios and has some of the largest bass and drums that have ever been programmed into a record compliments of Arthur Baker and Lottie Golden of the electro group Warp 9. This is truly a hidden gem of a record that few people know about but Breaks and Beats lovers and electro heads need to get their hands on to enjoy the teutonic beats.
