To suggest that this album has not aged well would also suggest that Depeche Mode’s ‘Violator,’ Front 242’s ‘Front by Front,’ or Bjork’s ‘Debut’ also failed to sustain their greatness. In other words such a claim is completely ridiculous. This album is indeed the Orb’s finest hour and is as much of a pleasure to listen to today as it was 15 years ago. There is no doubt that of all the Orb’s other material, this album will continue to sustain its longevity for future generations of electronic music fans. The Orb perfectly blend dub, house, techno, trance and ambient in a uniquely designed psychedelic landscape that cannot be rivaled. Each of these songs start you off at your psychedelic abode, picks you up for a scenic car drive, drops you off at the club, raves you out, then takes you back home just in time for tea with Brian Eno.
