Octagen & M.I.D.O.R. - Flyback / Rush Hour - 17-Jan-06 12:18 AM
Flyback is definetly one of the beasts of Trance of 2005. Mindblowing production by two talented producers of the scene, specially Paul Moelands which I deserve many respect to him due his quality productions. Great melody and very powerful bassline makes this track a must-have for any uplifting trance fan. It amazes me that this track couldnt get the feedback I expected, still havent seen any compilation which this bomb is featured. On the other side Rush Hour, a solid production, but lacks of something that makes it attractive under my point of view, impossible to compare with the other side of this 12.

This is, under my opinion, one of the best Galactive releases to the date with Waterfall and Typhoon and I could dare to say that this is maybe the best uplifting Trance track of 2005. I recommend this vinyl to everybody who likes powerful Trance for a guaranteed success for peak-time hours.

Frisky Warlock - Trespasser / Fingerprints - 27-Jun-05 09:11 PM
After some brilliant productions like I Feel, Kenetic or Rising Angel to mention a few of them, 2 Play records surprised me again with a BRILLIANT TechTrance double production made by Freek Geuze, a debutant musician who teamed up with the half of Cygnific a year ago, now comes solo to bring us two excellent produced tracks made exclusively for the dancefloor.
I must note that both tracks have been produced without leaving any detail and even if the tracks are kinda explosive, both are made with the non commercial distinctive and that is easily appreciated when we got the pleasure to hear both of them.
On the A side we find the gem of the vinyl. Trespasser is a very fast track, about 145bpm, with a powerful beat and some hihats on the way, the break has 2 minutes of duration aproximately and when the Techy melody comes the crowd will go nuts for sure with this one (at least I went when i heard it :P)!
The B side (Fingerprints) is a little, just a little more light when it begins, but when the breakdown and the melody comes it sounds like the A side, like a dancefloor bomb! Even if i said the B side is more light, both tracks are made for the dancefloor and to make the people go crazy, so both sides will make this work for sure.

Sincerly, I got no words to say how impressive is this vinyl. I must give my congratulations to Freek Geuze and 2 Play Records because of its brilliant work, producing and publishing this two excelent tracks. They just proved with that release, that a high bpm can be linked with an accurate and quality production and that is really good for the TechTrance panorama. Thanks, Freek!

DJ Spoke - Hollow Man (Remixes) - 26-Jun-05 03:34 PM
Agreed. Jesselyn songs are commonly nothing more than a piece of crap. As a Techtrance fan, never liked her tracks but this one is the biggest crap I ever had the disgrace to hear. Fortunately, the Draft2Design remix deserves to be heard. An excellent piece of Trance with all its words. Excellent melody and a lot of hard work behind this track. Thats the impression I left when I heard this masterpiece; probably, one of the best Trance tracks of 2005 to the date. I must give a 5 to this vinyl, not because of the A side, because for me deserves a 1, but for the B side. This excellent team is not guilty of permiting Jesselyn to remix the horrible track she made, so they dont have to see a 1 on this excellent track they remixed, even the 1 is not for them.

Cern - Go Fly - 12-Mar-05 04:12 AM
Fantastic production! Cern, as usual, brings us a peak-time monster which will get the crowd crazy on any Trance dancefloor, without leaving the non-comercial quality distinctive. An amazing melody which only Cern can do with some simple but efective vocals Go Fly. The name say it all. Just let yourself bring to the song and feel it like any Trance anthem youve heard before. The track has many structure similitudes with their previous release The Message which had an enormous success the last year, but the melody is completely different. A must have for any quality Trance fan who wants to have in his record bag an insurance for filling a dancefloor in a minute.

Great debut release of Solar Recordings label! Definetly the De Nada Remix deserves a 10 because its complexity, and quality tune. An epic tribal piece of quality Progressive stuff which fits perfectly even if its a Tribal, Chillout, or Progressive set! No words to describe another wicked tune by the god of Progressive, David West, teamed with Inkfish, 3 talented producers with a large list of quality releases in the Progressive escene. Also a must fan for any Housemaniac who wants to impress the crowd with this floorfiller track!
