Take a great tune from back in the day remix it, add trance melodys, soft beats, completely ruin it & then you have Rave Is A Mystery (Remix). Dont get me wrong both artists are great producers & DJs & im not having a dig at either of them, however this tune should of been left well alone, because now everything that was good about the original mix has been taken away & it goes to show that UK hardcore has gone down the pan.

This record is happy hardcore at its best with its hard beats, great riff & beautiful vocals. I read in a post that Brisk made that the Northern Lights mixes are the only versions that paid for the use of the samples, however no one has added the sample details to Discogs so does anyone know what tune it samples? I never liked the Northern Lights mixes however the Juicy Cuts mix is great, but Dougal's mix is by far the best & even tho the value of vinyl has gone down somewhat it still fetches alot.

This release has its good & bad points.

Its great to see that so many Rez classics can be found on this album & it also includes unreleased remixes of Toy Town & Eurocore however most of the tunes has been edited/faded out so most are incomplete, also the sound quality is quite poor which lets down an otherwise great album. Its not really worth the current market place prices either because of the sound quality.

The Scotchman - Happy Vibes is what its all about & it sums up what bouncy techno is all about, it also shows that Scotland & Holland had similar tastes as its a scottish produced tune on a dutch label. There is also a remix that Scott Brown played a few times on dubplate, however it never got released. Every release on Babyboom Records is amazing, however this one is the best imo & it got plays from happy hardcore & gabber DJs alike from DJ Vibes & DJ Dream to Brisk & Clarkee & all of you Kinetic & Rez heads will remember this one!
