Liaisons Dangereuses - Liaisons Dangereuses - 30-Sep-08 12:07 PM
Its great to see a CD reissue of this incredibly important album. Tracks like "Los Niños Del Parque," "Peut Etre... Pas," and "Avant - Après Mars" inspired house and techno producers in the mid-eighties (and on). Unfortunately, looking at these tracks on this CD version in a wave editor, they all have clipping. The sound quality is much better on compilation appearances. I havent been able to track down the Roadrunner Records version yet to do a comparison.

Ace & The Sandman - Let Your Body Talk - 29-Sep-08 06:33 PM
Im not sure Id call it high-fidelity, but the title track is quite beautiful. A combination of Virgo Four melody and acid 303. I really wonder what happened to these producers. Id love to hear their stories. The vocals are catchy yet not overbearing, and the track morphs nicely with lots of analogue synth variety. It sounds like it could have been made much later, by certain Detroit or British producers. Its definitely worth tracking down.

Housemaster Boyz, The - Thanks 4 The Trax U Lost - 22-Apr-08 09:26 AM
This record seems to be inspired by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes "The Love I Lost." The two sides sound nearly identical and the lyrics are difficult to decipher, but the drums are great! I hope I get a chance to play this on a big club system someday. People just dont make tracks like this anymore. Im surprised the record isnt more widely known, but maybe Clone or some other label will get the rights to re-issue it.
