B.L.I.M. - Chronologic - 23-Oct-05 02:07 PM
Chronologic is probably one of my favorite records all the time! Since I Heard it on Adam Freelands Tectonic mix CD, I cant get it over my head, I consider it as an instant classic. Chronologic made me love the nu skool breakbeat sound. Sadly, Its the best tune ever made by BLIM whos a great producer but he never composed something as wonderful as chronologic which were one of his first released tune.
Etienne De Champfleury - 23-Oct-05 11:53 AM
Etienne De Champfleury is probably one of the freshest new electro-pop producer from France. Hes a very good musician who can made some nice funky house tune to sunny drumn bass songs, he can aslo write incredible lyrics. We need more!
Amit - Village Folk / Lost Voices - 12-Oct-04 03:41 PM
Amit is really a producer to watch at the time and this pure release on Klutes excellent Label proves it! On A-Side, -Village Folk- is probably one of the most original release of the year, adding to this a very nice production, some wonderful Hindi influences. This incredible cocktail adding to nice dancefloor reactions are creating an amazing track. Also a very original track on B-sides, nice production too but more experimental (there is no snare), so interesting too but not in all the sets. In my opinion, this Amits tracks are really a big and nice suprise, even the b-side contribute to this UFO in current Drumn Bass, definitively not a commercial suicide.
Ty - Wait A Minute (Fusion & Sticky Remixes) - 10-Oct-04 11:41 AM
I already was into the Original mix, a very nice Hip Hop release but this one is excellent too. Im not going to discuss about Fusion mix, which isnt a dancefloor killer but not too bad. Well about the Sticky remix, its totally amazing, Sticky proves that he has a really nice production work, with totally massive sub-bass, including the original elements to his very own stylish UK Garage, then its creating a very nice tune between organical orchestration and UK Garage at is best level of production! So, thanks ty & sticky!!
Plasticman - Pump Up The Jam - 10-Oct-04 11:41 AM
Im dissapointed by these tracks, well the principal gimmick & bassline on -Pump up the Jam- are really interesting, the production is nice too (sub-bass sounds very well on a good sound-system) but I hate this release, because I expect a lot about this one and when Im licening to: I dont understand how can they release so repetitive tracks, there is no real progression in the melody, no more in the sounds, its unbelievable. Im sure that Plasticman can make some pure tracks, but he really needs to improve these type of problems, perhaps a solution will be to reduce the tracks time because more than 5 minutes its really too long.
