Reviews & Discussion:
This is definitely one of the best releases ever.
This mixture of nice floating trance waves and a pulsating rhythm, that you just have to move to, makes it a wonderful listening tune and also a floorfiller, that should be played at every electronic classic party. For me it's really hard to list up my top 100 tracks - but I think this one should be in. Still a goose-skin track!
The first three tracks of this release are more or less rubbish. Just some unspectacular house tracks.
But the acapella version (track 4) is quite interesting and became famous in the 90s. These female porno vocals can be found in quite a lot of dj mixes in several music styles. A must have for nearly every DJ around.
Interesting compilation with very good tracks on it - with some of my favourites e.g. "Hold On Tight" , "LV 426" , "Terry's House" or "Deathcounter".
But you shouldn't expect to get some funky house, disco house or any simliar house tracks here. The only real house track on this compilation is the one from Milk & Sugar. The others on the "House" and "Proggressive House" CD are all deep house, tech house or techno tracks. Also the tracks on the "Acid Trance" CD are rather tech house or techno tracks. But in fact most of them are really good - I can recommend this compilation to evryone who likes techno music, not to frineds of house music.
This is one of my favourite drum and bass records.
Great nervous breakbeats mixed with these dark and mean sounds. Some short calmer breaks, but then rockin' again. You can't stop to move your feet when listening to these 4 burners. For some reason I like these very much during my workout at home. Very motivating. But you can also imagine running around in dark streets in the night and getting a thrill, if you know what I mean. "Hostage" only gets 4 of 5. But the others are all worth the five points. My favourite track is "Dark Star" at the moment. Must have!
This is simply great stuff.
Good dark vocals & great instrumentation. So it turns on your legs and mouth. Maybe you´re gonna sing (or rather shout) or just dance... This EBM hit has filled all the dancefloors in every dark wave location in Germany. I think it´s got the same status as other highlights e.g. from S.P.O.C.K., Wolfsheim, Silke Bischoff, ...
Both mixes - the one from Josh Wink and the one from Oliver Lieb - are not good in my ears.
Although I like most of Josh Wink´s releases I even think the one from Oliver Lieb is a little bit better. But both mixes are quite boring. Josh Wink mixes the boredom with some very enerving elements, so that I only want to turn off my stereo. The whisper part is quite interesting indeed, but it can´t make my vote for this track better. Oliver Lieb gets 3 points for this. Josh Wink ( & the edit ) only two. Oakenfold by the way has done better work in former times... One Day later I listened to it again – now I´d give each track 3 points. All quite okay. So you see it often depends on the mood…
In-Trance* - Black Buster Megamix / Plus Remix
Nov 11, 2003
This one´s definitely one of the best megamixes of the early Nineties. There are 2 great mixes on this CD, mixed by Torsten Fenslau, well-known from HR3-Clubnight, Dorian Gray and Culture Beat.
He was a great producer and remixer and in this release he put some of the best techno tunes of that time. 5 Points! Must have for everyone! | ||||
It contains some all-time classics like Moby's "Thousand", Dream Your Dream's "Soushkin", Ilsa gold's "Up", Ramirez' "El Gallinero" or Hooligan's "Bottrop". These tracks are basic tracks in the collection of every techno-fan. Furthermore this CD features other very good tracks, like "Speedy Gonzalez", "Mutha Fucka House", "External", "Fuckin Hostile" or "Here's Johnny". Of course the whole "Thunderdome"-series is a must-have for all Gabbaheads and Hardcore-fans - but I can also recommend this one to the mainstream techno listener.
Cheap nowadays - so buy it!
