Reviews & Discussion:

Invisible Man, The - Stormfields / Spiritual Awareness May 23, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
This was one of my favorite releases at the time and to this day is still one of my favorite drum 'n bass tracks.

Stormfeilds has the most amazing audio sample at the beginning wich plays over sampled thunder strikes.
"If I have to go, you know and if God calls me home.
I'd rather go by one huge bolt of lightning and then I could be up there, running the lightning machine"
The beats are fragmented to perfection and the lead sound has a melodic acid edge to it which compliments the bass and spattering high hats ‘n snares.
A timeless classic!

Spiritual Awareness is a more chilled out, laid back feeling track but the beats are still kicking along at the usual fast paced drum ‘n bass tempo.

A strong double AA from ltj’s stable!

FUSE* - Dimension Intrusion Feb 16, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
I have to rate this as one of the albums that make me cry & the comments above do not even get near to scratching the surface architecture that creates this album.
From the melodic lead line to the eerie strings that make "a new day" and the emtion fuelled "dimension intrusuion" this album showcases the early experiments in the plastikman evolution. FUSE is the pre-plastikman pre-superstar dj hawtin at his best.My standout track on the album has to be "treychk"
it is a 13'' minute long journey into the inner reaches of hawtins first psyche.
"what's wrong" "for more enjoyment and greater efficiancy"
"take four red capsules , in ten minutes take two more"

I only wish that he had expanded more on his f.u.s.e. creations! becuase it is for me the cornerstone of his career
