Reviews & Discussion:

After many years of hunting, this long time Top Buzz unknown (commonly referred to as 'shut up you morons') from the Live At The Eclipse #2 tape was finally ID'd on the tuneID forum as track A2 from this release. Dropped in after Epitome Of Hypes 'Ladies With An Attitude' this is fine slice of rolling atmospheric breaks with a simple catchy melody - so typical of many Top Buzz tunes from 1991 and 1992.

The Def DD22 Mix of Let's Get Busy is also worth a listen with it's anthemic piano and the inclusion of the huge organ track predominantly featured on The G Beats Mix.
Carry On Around The House samples an assortment of vocal snippets from the British comedy 'Carry On...' films (Kenneth Williams, Sid James, Barbara Windsor, etc) layered over a simple break with a cheesy chorus hook. Sounding very dated, this is not one of the better examples of early UK hardcore/breakbeat tunes sampling cult UK TV & films. The flipside, Be Happy, is equally deficient with it's repetitive 80's computer game effects and the curious use of church wedding bells mid-way through. An old skool release to avoid unless you're looking to complete the entire Contagious Records back catalog.
I spent two years trying to track this down and finally I managed to lay my hands on a copy. Side A is the choice tune with it's 'Bass so low you'd think it was underground' sample - as played by the one and only Easygroove at a Quest back in 1992. Side B unfortunately isn't quite up to standard though. B1 shapes up nicely with it's 'come on, feel the bass', 'here we go' and 'I won't stop rocking' samples interspersed over an untempo break, but then fails badly with use of the 'knick-knack, paddy whack, give a dog a bone' nursery rhyme mid-way through. B2 is a solid enough slice of hardcore with 'lets go' vocal samples and eighties computer game sound effects. Despite this it's still worth every penny should you be lucky enough to find a copy for sale.

Sound Corp.* - Close Control / Dream Finder Nov 19, 2009 (edited over 2 years ago)
This is mislabeled as AA is not the Dream Found Mix of Dream Finder - for reference, that's the version with the shouted intro - but is in fact the original version of Dream Finder with a running time of 6:43. A version lasting 7:14 is on a different pressing and is referred to on the label as 'Dream Finder (Remix)' - note the brackets around (Remix) as there is a completely different version with a piano intro also referred to as a Remix - but without the brackets. Confusing you say? Yes - very!
Curse, The - All Systems (Are Go) Mar 28, 2006 (edited over 2 years ago)
The sleeve depicts a stark post-apocalyptic scene with three anonymous figures in heavy duty chemical suits and full-face gas masks. Pure quality. However, the accompanying vinyl doesn't quite conjour up the same level of emotion. The repeated 'all systems are go' vocal from what sounds like a launch sequence can get a little too much, and the promised 'Dark Side' in the title just doesn't quite make it's mark. Saying that, it is still a solid slice of early techno-tinged euro hardcore worth checking.
