Level 42 - A Physical Presence - 20-Mar-07 01:33 PM
Welcome to the days before the mainstream pop stuff, welcome to the sunny (or rather: funky) side of Level 42.
It took some 15 years until this double LP release went digital in its entirety (a cut down version on one CD was released in the 1990s), but here we are: one of the best white funk bands ever, headed by one of the best funk bass players ever - get ready for groovy & gripping live performance, from start to finish!
The only downside of this recording: the overall sound is a bit thin, even after the remastering.

Dream Theater - Live At The Marquee - 23-Jul-05 03:40 PM
Although the guys from New York released a lot of live stuff during the years, this EP recorded at the famous Marquee Club during their first ever European tour is still (and will most likely ever be) my favourite DT live album.
It may not be as polished and technically overwhelming as the later DT live releases, but thats one reason why I like it so much. Another reason is the performance of James LaBrie - to my knowledge this is the best live performance of him ever recorded.
Besides that, every single one of them is giving his very best and all adds up to a stunning piece of live work and 47 minutes of pure energy.
