Ill.Skillz & Concord Dawn / Dkay* - Watch Me Now / Platinum (Ill.Skillz Remix) - 02-Mar-07 03:04 PM
The Ill.Skillz duo of D.kay and Rawfull prove once again that they are way ahead in their game with this highly acclaimed release on their own Ill.Skillz Recordings. For 'Watch Me Now' they team up with Kiwis Concord Dawn to deliver some nasty neurofunk business, with Concord Dawn providing the track's guitar. On the flip is where it really hots up, however. The Ill.Skillz remix of D.kay's 'Platinum' is one of the biggest tunes of 2004. If you like your beats hard and trancey, look no further than this 12". Ravers will scream "TUNE" as its crazy euphoric synths tear the dancefloor to pieces! Serious business.

Pyro / Submerged & Sub.Tera - Ghost Whisper / Idoru - 02-Mar-07 03:02 AM
What we have here is a quality release from some of DnB's most original producers. 'Ghost Whisper' by Pyro is a tech-funk roller with some high-quality breaks and the famous vocal from the opening sequence of anime film 'Ghost in the Shell'. On the flip, the acclaimed Submerged teams up with Sub.Tera and brings us 'Idoru', another atmospheric moody neurofunk track, again with eastern vocals and a smooth, rolling groove. Both tunes are hugely successful and this really isn't a record to 'buy next time'.... essential

Twisted Individual - Bandwagon Blues / Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin Or Your Money Back - 17-Oct-06 12:31 AM
Yeah, essential for all dnb heads, with the possible exception of people who like good tunes. this is boring as hell, i actually prefer John B's parody 'Blandwagon Poos' and that's saying something. Twisted Individual has always succeeded in my eyes in making tunes that are trying to be heavy and just sound tragic. avoid

DJ Teebee* - Capable / Guilty - 09-Oct-06 10:01 AM
This is a very understated release by Teebee, people need to realise this is probably one of his best yet. Guilty is one of my favourite tracks by him, it's also quite a departure from his usual grimier stuff - very trancey, with some wide synths giving a euphoric, fluidic feel to this quality track. highly recommended.
Also, if you like this one try these other Teebee tunes - Evil Ways, Severed Dreams or Black Mind - They all have a distincly fluidic vibe compared to his moodier tracks

Various - Spine EP - 30-Sep-06 02:58 AM
This is Black Sun Empire's best release in my opinion. Got Lost is one of Jade's best tracks yet, a real slimy groover. Seems to drop right with any tune, that one.
However, its worth getting this ep purely and simply for Chris.Su & Rawful - Panorama.
This is probably the best dnb track i have ever heard, i find its nigh on impossible to follow it up, i always just finish up sets with it! Never have i heard a tune so perfectly balanced, with all the elements working together so well. It has wide, uplifting trancey synths but they dont dominate the tune, they just compliment the squelchy, groovy b-line perfectly. Top banana!

If youre looking for more in the same line as Panorama, check out 'd.kay - platinum' (or the equally as massive ill.skillz remix) - the OTHER greatest tune ever!

or 'sunchase - remember me (ill.skillz rmx)'

or, yet another trancey bomb from d.kay - 'dumonde - human (ill.skillz rmx)'

big up
