50 Cent Aug 24, 2009
What can i say about 50 cent? his songs leave me feeling tired like i have just wasted time i could have used doing something else.He has got where he has not by his music but for two reasons, reason one the gangsta rap drones who will by anything with dre`s name on it (dre is god and can turn water into wine even if the water don`t taste that good). And the second reason because he`s hard and he`s been shot a few times (and its the same ali g wanna be`s who buy anything with dre`s name on it).Hopefully the hip hop world in a few years time will look back on the gangsta rap era and learn from the mistakes. It`s time for everybody in the hip hop world to wake up and get creative with music once again if it don`t then the future looks
bleak bland and boring.Rock music had the same problem in the late 80`s and it took "smells like teen spirit" to breath life into rock. 50 cent and the gangsta rap era is the eqiuvalent to big hair and big stadia this is spandex time for hip hop.
I remember phoning dave pearce`s teatime show on radio 1 for a full week to get them to play together - hardcore uproar in the mid to late 90`s i got through everytime but they never played it,everyday he would come on yeah people request your favourite songs phone up now,coz its always the same old choons they put on its always rhythm is a mystery by k klass i`m gonna get you by bizarre inc i belive by happy clappers or that one about liftin a cup all the run of the mill stuff never genaside II or acen or together and i`m sure people like dave pearce where "biggin up" choons like this back in the day but they soon turn their backs when it comes to playing the real stuff on the radio like hardcore uproar one of the finest dance records ever to be made.
Living House - To Talk Jul 09, 2009
The Thing That Stands Out With This Track Is That It Is So Strong From Begining To The End,There Is No Weak Part Whatsoever.Ok The Storyline Is Not The Best (Man Hasn`t Got Much Time To See His Ladyfriend So Make The Most Of The Time They Have Together To Talk) But The Piano Riff Is Great The Lyrics Are Great (And Make Sense) And The Use Of The Sax Break From Jimmy Castor`s Its Just Begun Is Good As well.A Cool Piano Choon From Way Back Relatively Unknown But This A Listen,If Piano`s Your Thing You Will Love This Track 10/10.
