Profile: I started playing cassettes in the early 90's when I was a boy. Then I began to make my own compilations recording from local radios skipping out the ads. I was always wanting to buy new blank tapes... my favs were Sony UX Chrome series.
My grandma had an old turntable and some 60's-70's singles while my parents had a Sony PS-LX330P with a couple of Pop records and a lot of Classical - that's when I started to being fascinated by vinyl, and wanted to start my own collection.
Now, more than 15 years later, I'm really proud of my 713 12"\LP collection!
Then i had for free a Pioneer PL-12D mkII turntable with S-shaped tonearm, from the seventies, including original Pioneer speakers.
Few months ago, i decided to buy (finally, i always wanted to) two new decks, with pitch control. I cannot afford the price for the Technics SL-1200, so i went back on Citronic PD1 and Akiyama DJ2000 which costs 1/3, but i'm pleased with them.

The genres i like are: 80's Disco, Italo-Disco, Cosmic, Funk, Soul, Ethno, Afro, Reggae, Dub, some Electro or House, Psychedelic Rock...

I'm not a DJ actually, I like to mix at home and record some mixes to share online. I think i could not work in a disco, as the tracks i like are not enjoyed by today's people, which want the nowadays commercial sound. And also because in that environment I could seriously damage my records!

In my freetime i like to experiment digital audio processing and sequencing software, Synths and FX programming. I re-edit or remix some tunes, and I try to create some original ones. Every job i complete my skills grows up, and the results are better and sounds a bit more "professional". Of course i had no tutorial on this, i started doing something random and learning how these programs works.

My dream is to have at least one vinyl with my works on it. The target is not to make money, but to see a label with my name on it, maybe in a coloured vinyl!

I like to have relationships with worldwide internet users, so if there's something I can do for you, just send me a message.

Jaz (12) - Glamsanity - 14-Jul-09 02:20 AM
What a nice record is this. I don`t know where Jaz finds the originals or how he works on them, but his edits are always superb. This EP features 4 different styles. The first is a classic funky style, the next one is a deep, strange, jazzy and obscure track. Now let`s flip it. B1 is a nice and funky reggae/dub track, but the best of all is the last track, the grand final. A great spaced-out psychedelic tune! For this release, of course, 5 stars!

Siouxsie & The Banshees - Untitled (Rare 12" Versions) - 23-Jun-09 04:21 PM
This is a nice album. Its splitted into two records, so it gains power in the sound (GZVinyl pressings are not that loud, but clean), and its perfect for those who doesnt like LP format. Technically i think the sound is good, but i noticed that the source of some of the master tracks is not very high in quality. Anyway if we consider this as a bootleg theres nothing to whine about. Good music (my favourites are Dear Prudence and The Passenger) and nice artworks too,

Sweetwater - Sweetwater - 24-Jan-09 04:58 PM
Oh yes! This is the psychedelic sound!
This album is great, really great. This reissue is a great way to re-discover those old psych classics... It comes on an high quality 180 grams pressing, and it plays really good.
Sweetwater sounds a bit like the Jefferson Airplane, so if you like J. A. youll love this record too. "Whats Wrong" and "Motherless Child" are real psych masterpieces, and Im sure this record will leave you really pleased!
Maybe you dont know, but they performed also at Woodstock, back in 1969.

Pentangle, The* - Basket Of Light - 24-Jan-09 04:18 PM
I usually dont like acoustic music.
But i found this record a real milestone of british psych-folk music. Its not like the typical british Mod music (The Who, for example) with lots of drums, guitars and hypnotic sounds. This is a very "quiet" album, with great vocals and melodies. This record makes me go high with my head as it sound as pure psychedelia. It has a touch of gothic, but also some tracks wich features the Sitar, which is a real pleasure to listen to.
This is one of my favourites LPs in my collection, i dont care that this is a repress.

Monyaka - Go De Yaka (Go To The Top) (1986 Stylee) - 17-Jan-09 07:17 AM
Excellent rework of "Go Deh Yaka" released in USA, 1983 (which, as I said, is one of my favourites).
This remix does not mess up the original version or use only some samples. This could be defined as a "power mix", as the final result is very clean, with a more powerful, fat and modern sound.
If you liked the original, this one will please you!
If you never had the original, dont worry as this release features also the original Club Mix.
Grab a copy while you can!
