Profile: I have been into Hi-Nrg/Italo-Disco since the early 80's (especially the period 1982-1989), and this music has been one of my hobbies for the past 25 years.

I am adding missing information to the existing subs in my collection. If I make a mistake, or miss something, please leave a comment and I will correct it. I check discogs every evening, so will act on your comments quickly :-) I have voting rights (thanks to those who helped me with that), but I am more interested in getting the releases from my own collection right in the DB first.

I will be offering most of my collection for sale as soon as I can get the collection uploaded as I now longer have the room to store it. This is my personal collection that I have enjoyed over the past 2 decades - I would rather someone else enjoys the vinyl and cds if possible, otherwise they will end up in land fill! All my CDs and records will be played through before I send them to make sure there is nothing wrong with them, and all my records are cleaned. I grade my stuff by the goldmine standard, so I won't sell anything that is damaged or not worth playing. If something does go wrong, I will do my upmost to sort any problems out.

I got rid of quite a lot of vinyl in the 90s and I am looking to replace some of those tracks on the original vinyl, and If you have something on my wantlist, I will buy it (within reason), and I will only pay with Paypal.

As the original artists deserve support, I will not offer any of my collecton as MP-3 files, so don't ask for MP-3s, but buy the original recording instead!

Shawn Benson - Seclusion - 14-Mar-09 04:42 PM
A classic Hi-NRG track from the US West Coast in the vein of releases from Megatone or JDC Records. Produced by Barry Beam & John Hedges, its up there with Lisas Rocket To Your Heart and Jolos Last Call, with ovetones of Pamala Stanley, Paul Parker & Sylvester. Shawn Benson gives a Jimmy Ruffin type vocal performance with some nodding acquaintance to the productions of Sabby Rayas. This track rocks you along and makes you want to dance - a happy, feel good track with I Will Survive anthemic lyrics - fabulous disco!!
