Reviews & Discussion:

Starts off with classic michael caines accapella

"5 4 3 2 1.. go"
cue sound effect explosions, wheel trims rattling
"your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off"

and then the trademark fatboy slim big beat boutique style drums and bass kick in..

I'm pretty sure fatboy slim had something to do with this sneaky white label. Its definately his style. all his tracks around this time sounded the same.. absolute mayhem on the dancefloor

'hang on a minute lads'

The self preservation society... nah nah na na na nah nah na na

The only other place you can get this track is on the
XL records 102 Looney Tunes - The Looney Tunes EP Vol. One

I know little about this track although its got RL006 engraved on both sides, did it ever get a full release, did it get renamed !!

A1 starts with the vocals "to understand this you have to go back"

The track is sublime chicago house on the A-Side and a little darker moodier on the B side with heavier tribal drums

B2 has even darker piano stabs and a nice clap "you have to go back. you have to go back"
"Just as long as i got you.. i got love"

If you like Frankie bones and early house this is the track for you
The track begins with ambulance sirens and then gun shots.

The original oxide and neutrino release featuring vocal clips from the film Lock Stock and 2 smoking Barrels

"ahh. sh1t. i've been shot"
"I don't f***ing believe this.. can every one stop getting shot.."

a few extra warpy beats and a nice underlying beat

The main mix has
the rapper MC vocal over the top
Bound 4 da reload. a damn awfull track except for the Lock Stock and 2 smoking Barrels edit
Odyssey To Anyoona takes me back to a time at cream at the nation liverpool, this tune got plays from oakenfold to pete tong it was massive..

Jam & spoon really showed their studio talent with this record.

the cow bells and the build up just go on for ever. until it finally breaks and then a mellow feeling comes across you..
with an angelic voice singing 'heaven' knows what.

One of my favourite records from the mid 90's

Some great remixes and other tracks on this promo only pack

Sorry forgot to mention keep well clear of the
original mix "Find Me (Oddyssey to Anyoona)"

possibly the reason this club track didn't hit the big time.

The most awfull 'Euro-House' you can find
"follow me baby oh no no, follow my heart, i lost my heart once now i want it back" and awful spanish guitar :o(
Possibly the best DMC release ever.

A great remix of expose tell me why, a big sasha tune and old rave favourite. but it was the sasha remix of jimi polo better days thats the one to own, this got bootlegged so much you probably have 4 copies, but this is the vinyl you want, it took me years to find one reasonably priced and still holds a £25-£30 price tag today.

when the piano breaks and the 'yeah yeah' you'll see

put your hands in the Air

Big tune on bbc radio 1

all this love say for nothing and this will do me no good
everyday that summer by your side, and it all seemed ever lasting, but then you told me you would move away. and you look so cute that you were crying

"all this love saved up for nothing i never felt this good and all this love rainbow styling.. rainbow styling."

very catchy bubble pop

got many plays by commercial dj's up and down the uk
excellent 'drill mix' on the reverse
Track a1.
The first track starts with "music's hypnotisin"
sounds very similiar to the rawbass tune
psychotropic 'only for the headstrong' but with the italian style vocal 'action.. action..' over the top

a2.
"Rejoice and be exceedingly glad for great is your reward in the kingdom of heaven" taken from the bible (mathew 5.12)

"Make me feel like.. oh..." very garagey tune from the mid 1990's, perfect for hardtimes, todd terry style US garage

b1.
atmospheric mid 90's tune with a drum and bass (jungle) break, a bit like "music" by LTJ bukem. Vocal "Bridge of love"

b2

"its taken 3 long years to put my love aside, the pain of suffering has now been replaced"

"I'm not going to let you do it to me know more.. not going to do it"
Lionrock aka justin robertson, gets an early chemical brothers (aka the dust brothers) remix on packet of piece

but this vinyl includes the history of hip hop lesson 1, 2 and 3.
Double D and Steinski proved legendary status and are yet to be rivalled by the likes of cut chemist or dj shadow.

'where gonna do a song that you never heard before
the torch has been passed to a new generation of americans

"got to have soul, lets dance, to the drummers beat.. lets dance cause its all so sweet"
"mars needs women"

"the reports of a flying sourcer hovering over the city have been confirmed"

"Its called fernado's hide away.. olay"

"Here's johhnny yeah yeah we know"

"this is the part of the song you gotto watch lady and gentleman

"you know how to whistle.. don't you steve"

and thats just lesson 3

This is the original cut up mega mix..

The BB series is not a bad copy unlike some bootlegs on the market. it has a great pirate logo to psin around

If you like this bootleg also check out bootifull bounty 1
which includes major force, young mc, king bee and twin hype
The best free mix CD of all time, given away by mixmag
well worth £11.99 in the shops at the time

the mixing is sublime and the tunes are pumpin

the warp dark classic, produced by the guys from my local record store 'fourth wave'

jaco into cafe del mar into energy flash
my favourite mix of all time, from the track selection you'd have thought sasha would have mixed it

classic aphrohead 'in thee' dave clarke 303 mix
throw by the paper clip people

is there a poor choice on the whole album

and chilled at the end
Some of the shi-take vinyls don't come close to this one, a big big tune for sasha and oakenfold.

head straight to the road rash club

remember this tune hammering in the court yard at cream 3 or 4 years after its release in 1993.
you'll know it as soon as it starts a big big tune, it just builds and builds, with a few synths and a chime

if you like microman microhouse you'll love this tune.
