Mindspace - Two Minds - 29-Dec-08 10:07 AM
Typical Oliver Lieb release back from the good old days. Beats also used in Paragliders releases and this pianoloop stays interesting in Nemesis. It drives you to a climax on the dancefloor and takes you to another dimension with the beautiful melody. The b-side is also a killer - for me to short but yeah... every good old Lieb is to short for me ... Nobody makes melodies like good old Lieb... Its a pity that this is history- and not future-trance...

Pig & Dan - After Ibiza - 25-Feb-08 01:06 PM
Its looks like unbelievable that nobody has written a review yet for this fantastic minimal trancy record. The track "touch" is absolutely a beauty. A trancy melody at a beautiful minimal beatloop. I once made a videoclip for this track together with one of my best friends LXD TV & the track is special for me. When I watch the video with shots from the Alien II movie and listen to the dreamy beats of touch, I love it to be alive. This is excactly the reason why I love music so much. A melody, warm beats & a lot of tension... The B-side is a darker track but also a killer. A really nice dark bassloop with beautiful warm beats. Ok... Conclusion: This is what minimal is all about. If you are a dancemusic lover you must have this one in your collection... Respect for Pig & Dan for delivering this beauty...

Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso - Click - 25-Feb-08 12:53 PM
When you are a dancemusic-lover, this record is a "musthave". When I heard this record for the first time Joris Voorn played it at an outdoor festival here in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. I was dancing in the sun when I heard the first 3 minutes dubelektro beats. Then at one moment the strings came in the music and made me think I was dancing on a beach at Ibiza. So much emotion in the strings that it made me shiver and still makes me shiver. Strongly recommended this tune - its a beauty !!

Mark III - Watermark - 20-Feb-08 05:13 AM
When I listened to "Watermark (Main Mix)" I recognized a brilliant sample that Lieb used to make this track! The sample is taken from Imaginations "Illusion" ! Nicely looped and perfectly matched on the dreamy strings of this beautiful progressive housetrack. I recognized also another sample Lieb used in one of his other dreamy trance paragliders tracks. The "Club Mix" is much deeper and trancier then the "Main Mix". Then I must say that "The Source" is a nice warm Lieb production with a clubby progressive congobeatloop. Then later in the track the typical trancy Lieb strings make you think you are dancing on a beach with a warm sun in your neck. A perfect record of dreamy progressive house beats and a track with a really HUGE bongogroove loop! A real collectors item for the ones who love the "old" trance days !

ALF (2) - Stuck On Earth - 17-Dec-07 06:42 AM
Offcourse you think: "Yeah - what a funny track but nothing special" - ok, I agree with that but then I am listening to the flipside and then you can hear what a brilliant producer Ben Liebrand is. The "melmac"-track drags you with Alf over the interstate... ! Really nice bassline and a beautiful production of Ben Liebrand ! Nice! In the eightees "Stuck on Earth" was played on the dutch radio network at "The Curry & Van Inkel Show".
