Here's My Card Records - 06-Apr-05 02:30 AM
Insane and urgent music comes from this fresh Canadian label. Its so hardcore, extreme and funny that I almost pissed my pants at the first time ive listened to some HMCRs material.
Violently happy music for bleeding ears!
High fives!!

Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Alatt Született - 09-Mar-05 05:41 AM
"Rossz Csillag Allat Született" is Aaron Funks most ambitious work to date. This album got a different feeling. Maybe because of the Hungarian strings maybe the fact of Aaron himself have played violin on several tracks of the album. The point is that "Rossz Csillag Allat Született" is Venetian Snares in a very mature, dramatic way, testing new environments, new sonorities and trying to stay away from the pitiful label called "breakcore". His music is way too solid and diversified to be labeled in one single style.
"Rossz Csillag Allat Született" is the confirmation of Aaron Funks new directions. 10 (out of 10)

Venetian Snares - Winnipeg Is A Frozen Shithole - 07-Mar-05 03:26 PM
"Winnipeg Is A Frozen Shithole" is one of the most angry and harsh gabber material Ive ever listened to. Aaron Funk probably doesnt like his hometown, because this collection -- besides the track titles -- is a pure statement of hate at Winnipeg. This album, more of an EP, is living proof that Venetian Snares is versatile. He doesnt want the listener to be accommodated to his sounds.
With "Winnipeg..." he leaves his mark on the gabber world in a very violent way -- stabbing and castrating the genre with sharp sharp, indeed sharp knives.

MU - Afro Finger And Gel - 16-Feb-05 05:09 AM
MU is no way electroclash! What we got here is a superb collection of hysterical gems constructed over freestyle beats and frenetic nipponic vocals. The music sounds almost improvisational. If youre a "freak-music" aficionado its definitely an album to look for. The music itself has innumerable influences so its impossible to label MU in one specific genre. Its the kind of album which gets better with each listening. Go for MU!

Doormouse - 26-Jan-05 04:21 AM
Respect to Doormouse! This man is off limits and makes music for thought. The "I Heart..." collection is one of the most funny and fresh stuff I have heard in years.
Dans style is all styles and thats pretty massive! I cant wait to listen to "I heart Kraftwerk" which seems to be wild. Keep breakin music, man! :)
