Black Box - Ride On Time - 02-Jul-07 11:25 AM
The name 'Ride on time' came about because the members of 'Black Box' are Italian and didn't have the best grasp of English. The vocals which were used on the song are from 'Loleatta Holloway - Love Sensation' The band members were not aware that the lyrics were 'your right on time' not 'your ride on time' I think the bands English must have been pretty bad as 'your ride on time' does not make any sense at all. 'Black Box' have talked about this in many interviews, and they say they can laugh about it now.
Scott Grooves - The Journey - 15-Apr-07 08:31 PM
This record should become as important to (electronic) dance music as 'Rhythim Is Rhythim - Strings Of Life' and 'Aztec Mystic, The - Knights Of The Jaguar'. 'The Journey' crosses the borders of dance music, Blurring the genres. Just like 'Aztec Mystic, The - Knights Of The Jaguar' this record can be played by House, Techno and even Trance dj's, Pitching it up or down respectively. Stunning uplifting strings with a great percussion section running along behind, It is infectious! Since the repress in March 2007 the record is having a new and deserved lease of life.
Joey Beltram - Places - 13-Jan-07 02:27 PM
This LP was Joey's finest work since the classic 'Energy Flash' When this came out there wasn't a techno dj on earth who didn't have it in there box. It is possible to do a top set just using this double LP. Every track is typical Beltram style, raw hard NY techno funk. From beginning to end this album hits hard like a train, not a weak track on it. Still sounds excellent in 2006.
