I'm not sure how to place this album contextually. It harks to traditional electronic motifs but doesn't stay there long.
It reminds me of Drukqs in this way. It's that schizophrenic but it's not glitch. It uses glitch elements strategically to provide contrast to those sections which would otherwise become repetitive. It is masterfully crafted.
The instrumentation seem to confirm the uprising popularity of old synth technology. Those who use this technology proclaim a superiority over the digital simulation of it and I tend to agree.
I find the hype around its true author/s entertaining and interesting. False answers to mundane questions are always so much better.
