Blame - Music Takes You (Seal Version)
Dec 13, 2008
The definitive version! Worth hunting down and paying the extra dosh for. The Seal vocal 'music takes you round and round...' is only used twice, maybe it could have been used more but hey, what a tune, absolute stone cold classic! Check the 2 Bad Mice remix which is wicked also. Big up Blame, good to see he's still around and making quality tunes, and Moving Shadow, so many essential releases and still going strong!
Various - Enforcers Vol. 2

The Internal Affairs track on here is just wicked, a great early example of the Goldie sound but lesser known than the Terminator EP and his Rufige Kru releases on Reinforced. Dark and aggressive hardcore complete with the pitched up 'ecstasy' samples! Proper business. Reinforced just kept coming with the quality releases like a relentless onslaught, and it's nice to see they're still going. Probably the best label of the early 90's UK hardcore scene... Reinforced 4 da cause, big up!
Kev Bird & The Wax Doctor - The Visit To 14B E.P.

Yet another top quality essential release from the Basement crew. Dark Matter and TBN were played by many of the top DJ's in the early 90's UK rave scene and both later got remixes which were equally as good. The whole Basement sound is very distinctive and just personifies the term Jungle Techno, they were up there with the likes of Reinforced and Moving Shadow in my opinion and it's a shame they couldn't have continued on like they did. Big up Basement Records - dark rolling intelligent hardcore to sum up! | ||||
