Wiggle - 11-May-07 11:16 AM
Wiggle was one of the best tech house labels of the early 00's and to this day some of their releases are among my favourite tracks. Managing to release music that fit the label of tech house perectly; always techy, always housey, always working on the dancefloor, you couldn't ask for much more really. Highlights for me include Nathan Coles & Big Hair - Flobadob, Delinquents - Funktional, Terry Francis & Gideon Jackson - Blue Wig, Le Grande Boofont - The Fresh Prince of Bel Hair, Gideon Jackson - Adrenalin.

Lionrock - City Delirious - 24-Nov-06 12:11 AM
This is one of my favourite albums. When it came out in 1998 I'd never heard anything like it, re-listening recently has reminded me how good it is and there's still nothing out there that sounds like it. Wicked drum programming throughout and tons of instruments and samples being twisted up and threaded together to make up an album of futurist sounding big beat without the cheese, smooth rolling electronic hip hop and bleepy-electro-deep-tech-housey stuff.

Search & Destroy (2) - Espionage / Killamanjaro - 11-Nov-05 07:41 AM
This record is cool, not only does it have a predator image on one of the labels but it also sounds like old skool jungle updated for the 21st century. Wicked breaks and sub crunching bass combine to make this a killer release for Search & Destroy/Destructive.

Derrick Carter - The Cosmic Disco - 24-Aug-05 11:07 AM
Probably my favourite house mix ever. Carter mixes it up to perfection. To this day the track selection still sounds as fresh and exciting as it did all those years ago. If this doesn't make you dance and grin like and idiot then I doubt anything will. Jackin' house at it's best.

Vex'd - Degenerate - 19-Jul-05 07:21 AM
Do the Vex'd boys have a license to create this much bass? From the outset with the updated version of the first single Pop Pop VIP this CD rips weakened speaker cones to shreds with relentless crashing overdriven beats and growling sub bass. I looked up the word "degenerate" in a thesaurus and these are some alternatives: debauched, degraded, infamous, low, mean, miscreant, nefarious, corrode, corrupt, devil, fiend, lout, monster, ogre, ruffian, sadist. Imagine those words were music... thats what Vex'd make.
