Aly-Us - Time Passes On / Go On - 10-Nov-08 02:32 AM
Aly Us is especially known for the massive classic "Follow Me", just check on Discogs how many copies are available on different pressings & compilations. BUT they also did this EP, quite close from "Follow Me", using the same rhythm parts, the same keys. Easy ? Yes, maybe, but I recommend you the track "Time Passes On", a deep and very oldschool track. It turns you into a special mood, making you think about the old days. "Go On" is on the same way, a bit more known than "Time Passes On" but, for me, without the touch/atmosphere of "Time Passes On". Anyway, it's a great EP, only available at this day on vinyl (november 2008).
Tuff Production* Feat. Destry - (I Wanna) Thank You - 13-Jun-07 02:43 AM
The A side remixes sound like 92/93's happy house with piano. I especially recommend you the B1 remix by Sensory Productions, a very original & deep remix, played by Dimitri From Paris.
PDS - Freed From Desire (The Remixes) - 04-Apr-07 05:21 AM
Gala remixed! In fact it's Freed From Desire 's deep & speed garage remixes with the Gala's voice. Totally a bootleg ! Now very hard to find. Some people may think that this tune s*cks, but, to be honnest, i like it, very interesting.
Smooth Touch - House Of Love - 19-Mar-07 11:11 PM
What an interesting release from Erick Morillo. In fact, everybody knows this release for the "Raise Your Hands In My House REMIX" release a bit later. BUT this reference features the original mixes, and especially unbelievable garage mixes (Seduction Mix & Love Mix), happy and sweet with e-piano, sax (sounds like "I Cant Get No Sleep") and pumping rhythm like Morillo knows how to do ! I recommend you these mixes , and for those who prefer club tracks, on the B side, the "More Phearce Mix" is a very good club track maybe better than the "Raise Your Hands In My House REMIX" with acid sounds. A MUST HAVE !
Masters At Work Featuring India - I Can't Get No Sleep - 27-Feb-07 01:53 AM
Well, what can we say about it ? Definitely the best MAW track and the best garage tune. Some people wont agree with me but, the style, the construction and the voice of India are so different, so new at this time (early 90's) that make this track fresh and pumpy. I still play it often and everytime it's a souffle of fresh air and nostalgia. I can only recommend all the soulful dj's to have it in their collection. Check also the 95's mixes which are great but not better than the original !
