Evil Nine - FabricLive. 28 - 13-Jan-07 04:14 PM
It seems that this mix is a love vs. hate affair. Personally, this mix introduced me to a brand new sound of distortion and saturation. From the characteristic breaks of Evil Nine's remix of "Where Is It?" to the electro rap of Uffie; from the techno of Thomas Schumacher to the electro minimalism of "Erotic Discourse"; from the distorted sounds of "John's Addiction" to the fierce remixes of Digitalism, this mix is for the dancefloor. And there is plenty more to get your teeth into. Acid clicks, electro squeaks, and guitar riffs are ubiquitous in this set. For a very discerning dance audience.

Agoria - Cute & Cult - 21-Mar-06 04:46 AM
Agoria has crafted an impeccable mix. The way he layers the tracks, flowing through different musical styles is quite original. How he can fit in a Radiohead track as an acapella to the astounding Supertrack by Extrawelt and the mesmerising Nightclubbing by Iggy Pop (!!!) sandwiched between two techno tracks is beyond me. The emergence of the vocal from the trance anthem The Age Of Love within Holden's remix of Safari and the amalgamation of the actual track with Sleeparchive's Research four tracks later is another fine moment in the mix. And as if this wasn't enough, Agoria ends his mix with the classic LFO track followed by an acoustic version of the ubiquitous Strings Of Life. Every time I listen to this mix finds me surprised and I have listened to it a lot.

...oh and it's all mixed live!

Tiga - Sexor - 18-Mar-06 07:16 PM
Tiga's long awaited debut. Besides the well-known You Gonna Want Me, Louder Than A Bomb and Pleasure From The Bass, there is little on offer here. In particular, I enjoyed 3 Weeks, which features an engaging distorted electro sample, and I expect a single with remixes of this track. Definitely one of the best in the album. Other noteworthy tracks are High School, Good As Gold, (Far From) Home (The Speed Of Sexor Reprise) and Sir Sir Sir. One of the weaknesses of this album is that all the versions are short and some tracks, particularly the new ones, should have been extended. Nevertheless a good collective effort by Tiga, but could have been better.

DJ T. - Boogie Playground - 18-Dec-05 03:32 PM
I knew DJ T from his track Time Out featuring in a number of compilations and that triggered me to get his debut Boogie Playground. Well in short, outstanding. After listening to it for the very first time, I was speechless, yet smiling for the great purchase I had just made. Electrified house that will satisfy the most discerning dance listener. Fresh and uncompromising, sometimes funky, sometimes dark. But always interesting. Tracks like Rising, Neon, Rimini and pretty much most of the tracks that make up this album, are real gems.

Prodigy, The - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix) / Out Of Space (Audio Bullys Remix) - 02-Dec-05 10:19 AM
This is worth buying for the Pendulum remix alone. Pendulum have done a fantastic rework of Voodoo People and I dare to say that it sounds better than the original! I hope that Prodigy aficionados excuse me for the above statement.
